Today's penultimate episode of Hawkeye was certainly eventful, deftly positioning all of the pieces on the board as we anxiously await next Wednesday's season finale. Right at the end, we finally got confirmation that Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, has returned, and actor Vincent D'Onofrio has now taken to Twitter to make his MCU debut official by sharing a telling shot from the end-credits sequence.

The Full Metal Jacket actor played Fisk over three seasons of the now defunct Netflix Daredevil series, and rumors began to swirl that he was set to reprise the role in Hawkeye before the show even entered production.

D'Onofrio has always denied his involvement on social media when quizzed about his potential return, but after the villain was seen standing next to Eleanor Bishop in the shocking conclusion to "Ronin," there was no need to keep it under wraps any longer.

Of course, the character's return was all-but confirmed already when Echo's mysterious "uncle" pinched her cheek in episode two, but we still don't know exactly how he'll factor into the story. Clint clearly has history with Kingpin, and there's a good chance he'll have something to do with Laura Barton and that incriminating watch she's so worried about.

One thing's for sure, Clint and Kate are going to have their work cut out dealing with Echo, the Tracksuits, Yelena and the ruthless Fisk next week.

How do you guys think Hawkeye is going to conclude? Drop us a comment down below.
