HAWKEYE: [SPOILER] Returns In Today's Episode For An Epic Showdown As Mystery Surrounding The Watch Thickens

Today's episode of Hawkeye featured more big surprises, and as the mystery surrounding that watch continued to play out, there was a certain return that fans are going crazy over. Read on for details...

We knew it was coming, but today's episode of Hawkeye finally brought Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after her introduction in Black Widow earlier this year.

With Clint Barton and Kate Bishop attempting to retrieve a watch (stolen from the Avengers Compound and taken by the Tracksuit Mafia during that robbery of the black market auction) from what is later revealed to be Maya Lopez's apartment, the Avenger finds himself attacked on a nearby rooftop by a masked assailant. A brutal fight ensues, with it quickly becoming clear that this mystery figure has Widow tech after she uses stingers on both Clint and Echo.

Her mask is eventually removed, and we learn that it's Yelena. Now on a mission of revenge after what happened in Avengers: Endgame, she doesn't speak, but ends up making her escape after Kate takes aim at her. Clearly, this isn't over, but as far as Clint is concerned, someone has hired a Black Widow assassin to kill him; he's unaware this is Natasha Romanoff's little sister.

As for that watch, the plot continues to thicken. Clint is able to track it and says that it could out someone who has been off the radar for a long time. Is he talking about Ronin or perhaps another Avenger we haven't seen for a while? It could even be a new character, but we'll have to wait and see for now.

Check out a first look at Yelena in action below:
