HAWKEYE Spoiler Stills Show "Swordsman" In Action, Final Battle Aftermath, And More

Disney+ has released one final batch of stills from Marvel Studios' Hawkeye, revisiting some key scenes from the festive finale and the aftermath of that exciting final battle. Check them out here...

We were hoping Hawkeye might get one final character poster today featuring Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin, but as of right now, there's no sign of it. That could change in the weeks to come, of course, but Disney+ is now likely to shift its focus to hyping up The Book of Boba Fett

On the plus side, there are some new stills from the Hawkeye season finale - titled "So This Is Christmas?" - highlighting a handful of key moments. They include Echo's new look, the aftermath of the exciting final battle, and a great shot of "Swordsman" in action. Fans are already hoping we haven't seen the last of Jack Duquesne, especially now he's expressed an interest in LARPing.

During a recent chat with Variety, this episode's director, Rhys Thomas, admitted that he didn't know Spider-Man: No Way Home would reference Hawkeye with those Rogers: The Musical signs.

"The Kingpin of it all was not on the cusp when I started the show, but I feel like his presence was never far," Thomas said of how Wilson Fisk's introduction came to be. "Like, we were always circling this other 'big bad guy,' but there was a moment when a Marvel executive came over and said, 'You know, this is what we’re gonna do about that.' As far as a larger plan and a crossover with Spider-Man: No Way Home, I did not know that they would do that."

"They do a wonderful job at Marvel of keeping everybody quite siloed, and I think they do this for your own security," the filmmaker continued. "People seem to sort of assume that there is this room where everything is all mapped out, but, no, they keep you kind of focused on your own show and only give you the information that they feel they need to give."

Another Ralph Boner situation if you ask me… Renner had no equal to go up against just an amputee deaf girl with no special power

@Matchesz - What about Yelena?

@Matchesz - 1) how so? Dude was definitely still on par with the heroes in terms of abilities and even contributed to the climax. This is more like if Ralph bohner was done right.

2) yelena was still there. How is she not an equal against Hawkeye?

Really enjoyed everytime he was on screen. He felt so out of place, that it didn't surprise me he turned out to be a guy just to have fun

I would like to see Swordsman appearing in another show using some LARP purple uniform, Jack looks like a guy that would love to have fans and be a little hero for some - like catching burglars and give interviews for Christine Everhart and be a guest on WHIH Newsfront.

While Yelena and Kingpin took the majority of the attention as new MCU characters, Tony Dalton's Swordsman really impressed me in the limited time he had on screen. Hopefully, Marvel Studios utilizes him for a future project. I would like to see him as a sort of fatherly figure for Kate, despite he probably being the source that gets her into trouble. In the comics, Swordsman was a mentor to Clint's Hawkeye, but THIS Swordsman could be one for Kate & other Young Avengers. Also, I can't wait to see what the LARPer Missy comes up for the Swordsman costume.

They took more liberties with his character but in the end and for the lighthearted tone of the show it worked just nicely. You could tell he wasn't gonna be an evil mastermind in his scene with Eleanor in 1x04 where he even made Kate laugh and start to warm up to him.

With that said I'd like to see some final scene between them or maybe both seeing Eleanor being handed to the authorities. She hurt both her daughter and this guy that was genuinely in love with her, so Jack and Kate being left behind to pick up the pieces of their broken hearts and trusts would've been nice. Maybe if there is a 2nd Season some of it could be explored.

Can definitely see him become a vigilante with LARP costumes.

Dalton was a blast as Jack. I really hope we see him again, either in a Hawkeye Season 2 or getting recruited for the Thunderbolts.

Them not knowing each other REALLY threw me out of the show, personally it was over for me at that point. I STILL watched it but didn't enjoy. The ONLY saving grace was Kingpin.
