HAWKEYE Star Jeremy Renner Is Now Recovering At Home Following Serious Snowplow Accident

Great news to share here, as Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner is now out of hospital and recovering at home with his family following a near-fatal snowplow accident on New Year's Day...

There was a lot of concern for Jeremy Renner following his serious accident on New Year's Day near his home in Northern Nevada, but the actor underwent successful surgery after being airlifted to the ER, and regained consciousness a couple of days later.

The Hawkeye star has now shared another positive update on his status, revealing that he has left the hospital and is recovering at home with his family.

There were reports that Renner may have had his leg amputated, but, thankfully, that doesn't seem to be the case.

There was initially some confusion as to what actually caused the accident, but it eventually came to light that Renner was run-over by his own snowplow when he attempted to regain control of the vehicle.

“After successfully towing his personal vehicle from its stuck location, Mr. Renner got out of his PistenBully to speak with his family member,” Sheriff Darin Balaam said in an official statement. “At this point, it is observed that the PistenBully started to roll. In an effort to stop the rolling PistenBully, Mr. Renner attempts to get back into the driver seat of the PistenBully. Based on our investigation, it’s at this point that Mr. Renner is run over by the PistenBully.”

This is obviously great news, but Renner still has a long road to full recovery ahead. We hope to see him back in the MCU firing arrows at bad guys by the time Avengers: The Kang Dynasty comes our way.

Soooo...they DIDN'T have to amputate his leg..??

I feel most people need clarification, because I've been worried sick for Jeremy Renner and that seems to be the biggest question right now is how has the recovery from his surgery gone and what are the long term ramifications of this injury??

This makes me think he got reeeeally lucky if he's already home, but it's still vague

@xfan320 - Not that what I'm about to say is anything even remotely confirming, but if there isn't any real complication you can be home in one to two weeks after an amputation.

Good he's got to be at home already.

As for the Mayor of Kingstown, I thought the second season already started. Haven't watched the first though, as I don't know if it's worth it yet.

Happy to hear that he’s doing better. Hopefully the rest of the recovery goes well.

(Not to make light of the situation, but when I first saw the photos in this article, I was like,”Woah, dude heals up really fast!”. Sometimes I wonder about myself….)

So very happy to hear it. That he's even doing these brief posts just goes to show that he saw how much people cared about him when this happened. Wish him the best, and getting to be back home has to alone already make him feel quite a bit better.

I hope he's at home feeling grateful and gets help soon. I also cant help but wonder if once hes up and ready and waiting to film his next role he's just in the local grocery store like this, ready for action lol

I don't know why but I feel like if there were an amputation Renner would be the kind of guy to make dad jokes about it so the lack of that feels reassuring.

Regardless of how this story ends there's like a 100% chance the next time we see Hawkeye he'll be in a flying wheelchair motorscooter. There is no way capeshit writers pass on a meta reference like that.

wonder how long of a recovering you are looking at for something like that

how much mobility can he regain

now that he is out of the woods, seems like it will be okay to question this

what will marvel do now?

write in injury into the character?
recast?
retire the character?

Better not recast, they set a standard for themselves when they refused to recast T'challa and then broke it when they recast Ross.

As a major player, Renner deserves the same respect, after this potentially career ending injury

I heard a report last night that his accident was far worse than reported and he basically had to have his entire chest rebuilt because it was crushed, and he will never be the same again and will need several surgeries still, including possibly still losing the leg.

I guess that was bullshit if he's home now.
