RUMOR: This Is Why Inhumans Was Taken Off the Schedule?

Was Inhumans truly delayed for avoid competing against Indiana Jones 5 or theres more to it, if the folks at Bleeding Cool are correct, the removal of the film from the schedule is because of the spilt between Feige and Perlmutter.

So last night came the news that the Inhumans movie was removed off schedule, this may have came as shock to many or not for others. recently during the Press Junket for Civil War, Kevin Feige stated that the Inhumans movie would be shuffled again because Indiana Jones 5 (another Disney property), was opening the week after Inhumans, Feige mentioned that its not a case of IF they will make it, but WHEN they will make it, which would look like Inhumans is still in table, but it is?.

Take this with a grain of salt, but if Rich Johnston from Bleeding Cool is to be believed, its possible we may not see it anytime soon. as according to his sources, the Inhumans movie was an Ike Perlmutter pushed project and Kevin Feige only agreed to make the movie if he was allowed to do Captain Marvel, for those unaware, Ike Perlmutter is the CEO of Marvel Entertainment and there been bad blood with Perlmutter and Kevin Feige. Ike Perlmutter is the reason behind why there was a lack of merchandise for characters such as Black Widow, Gamora and Scarlet Witch in the toylines for the movies, since he doesnt think female figures sell, and he's also the reason why it took a decade for a female driven film in the MCU, because of the failures of SupergirlCatwoman and Elektra at the box office, so its not a surprise he would be against a movie about Carol Danvers. so last year there was a spilt between Marvel Entertainment and Marvel Studios, in that Kevin Feige have more control over the movies and he now awnsers to Alan Horn. so if Inhumans was not a priority for Feige, it would make sense for the movie to be removed off the schedule, with no new release date at the moment, but time will tell what the cinematic future of Black Bolt and the Royal family holds.

Just one of the many grammar errors in this article man, might want to clean it up and fix it before this article is deleted.

Why would Perlmutter give a shit about Inhumans? He wanted another team movie to sell more toys, I suppose? Whatever the reason, it really seems like the Marvel/Perlmutter split is going to bring about some pretty big changes. I can't wait to see what Phase 3 has in store without him!

Aw man, I hope that they still make the Inhumans movie. It would be a darn shame if we're not going to be able to see the royal family on the big screen. I really want to see how Marvel would show Black Bolts power.

@CMgeek - Honestly, I think it's Perlmutter's doing more than Feige's.

Did you hear about the lawsuit Ike's neighbor filed against him?

"Perlmutter's Palm Beach neighbor Harold Peerenboom sued in 2013, claiming anonymous hate mail "falsely accusing him of loathsome crimes, including murder and sexual assault against a minor" has been sent to his friends, family and business associates across North America."

Doesn't that remind you of a lot of the anti-Feige pro-Perlmutter rumors that come out of Bleeding Cool over the last year or so?

@SageMode - Ya, tbh I don't know if I even buy into this whole "marvel schism" thing. And if it is a real thing, I don't think it's as big a deal as people make it out to be. There's a lot of speculation.

Also, does anyone else find it odd that Ike Perlmutter would be against a Black Widow movie considering how much the television shows lean towards female characters? Marvel TV already has Jessica Jones and Agent Carter. Thats TWO female lead properties against the movies' zero. Also, all of the best characters on SHIELD are female. Not to mention Most Wanted is going to star Mockingbird, and I think Cloak and Dagger should also count, but to a lesser degree.

Just seems odd that these rumours paint Ike as if he has something against promoting females in their media.

Wouldn't be mad if an editor took your article off. No quote highlight, bad grammar, no capital letter after a period.

Try to do a better job next time or edit that one.

I actually think it fits more in phase 4 so that it opens this whole new side to the MCU. It also could expand the Cosmic Side of things if they do it on the moon. Inhumans is happening. Marvel has never announced a movie and not released it. Let's not forget that Black Panther and Captain Marvel were also pushed back earlier this year.
ScarletWarlock
ScarletWarlock - 4/23/2016, 5:41 PM
BULL.SHIT. These guys are so untrustworthy it's ridiculous. Inhumans was taken off because it's most likely going to be in Phase 4 where it belongs, they did the same with Ant-Man and their plate is full. They don't have the money to distribute all these Disney properties that year. Feige clearly likes the Inhumans as well, and he should because they're awesome, this honestly seems like some article made just to cash in on the news that it was taken off the date when Feige even said it's most likely going to be moved like a week ago. This isn't speculation on my part, this is so obviously bullshit it's unreal.

just cast the Vulture already. i was kinda against Keaton so i'm not worried that he left the project. the question is "why did he left" ? i got the feeling that Keaton wants to choose the best scripts and in this case Marvel wanted him to sign a movie deal before reading one. Or maybe the script was good/ok but the villian character was not so greatly written ?

Either way there could be two villains in the movie, one minor one (Shocker ?) . Don't forget that.

as for the suit - maybe this one.

TheAstoundingMan
TheAstoundingMan - 4/23/2016, 9:11 PM
@jerryblake - I really hope not. John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were worrying enough. I would like to think that Marvel wouldn't take chances with the screenplay for this one, but they have more misses than hits when it comes to villains at this stage.

@JohnnyTBP - isn't Namor owned by Universal ?

Fiege

"It’s slightly more complicated than that. Let’s put it this way – there are entanglements that make it less easy. There are older contracts that still involve other parties that mean we need to work things out before we move forward on it. As opposed to an Iron Man or any of the Avengers or any of the other Marvel characters where we could just put them in"

(that article was written 2 years ago though)
PantherKing
PantherKing - 4/23/2016, 6:30 PM
@jerryblake - I wonder why they have ownership of the character if they don't plan to use him.
jerryblake
jerryblake - 4/23/2016, 6:50 PM
@PantherKing - since they never use Namor the rights to this character should be back at Marvel in 100%. There was probably expiring date. But since it did not happen in 100% and Universal still kinda owns Namor too, there must be really a problem with old contracts. Two sides would have have to go with settlement. One side is probably not eager to do it. Or maybe the other side dosen't want to pay that much money.
