The same site that gave us this, which led to this is back with another Iron Fist update. Their source has picked up a scoop stating that Netflix would still be dumping the Iron Fist Netflix series to still be replaced with a Punisher series, but with a twist. Now it is being reported that Netflix wouldn't be doing away with Danny Rand entirely. Apparently Netflix would be working to make Iron Fist a feature length film. Unfortunately this could mean that Iron Fist would not show up in the Defenders series, but at least there is still a glimmer of hope for the character to still make his appearance in the Netflix-MCU
Marvel will be turning Iron Fist into a Netflix exclusive feature film. This will give Marvel extra time and a larger budget for this project. The Punisher will replace Iron Fist as one of the four Defenders.
The good news, of course, Iron Fist isn't being shelved it seems. On the other side, what does this mean for the character and how he could possibly connect with the larger universe Netflix & Marvel are creating? One thing does seem to be a certain though. LEVI's jimmies should be rustled by this piece of info.
