Jessica Jones was the last of Marvel's TV shows on Netflix to be axed, and based on reviews, it went out with a whimper rather than a bang. Now, fans will have to spend the next two years (due to the nature of Marvel Television's deal with the online streaming giant) waiting to see if she or any of the other
Defenders characters live on elsewhere.
Whether audiences would actually be interested in seeing more of characters like Daredevil and Luke Cage by that point is hard to say, as is whether any networks would want to spend money bringing them back after such a lengthy absence.
For what it's worth, though, it sounds like Krysten Ritter is ready to say goodbye to the alcoholic P.I.
"Do I think I'll play her again? I don't think so," the actress admitted. "
I feel like I've played her, you know? I feel really good about it. I feel good about closing the door." So, that means we can probably forget about any sort of reunion for
The Defenders!
With the door closed on each of the Marvel heroes returning until at least 2020/2021, you have to believe the actors will have moved on by then and it wouldn't be all surprising to see Kevin Feige reboot them for the big screen at some point, especially as these shows were only ever loosely connected to the films.
What do you guys think?
