A few days ago, Kevin Feige sat down with IGN Movies for a lengthy interview about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Near the end of the interview, Feige was asked about the rights for Kingpin, who most fans want to appear in the upcoming Daredevil Netflix show. In response, Feige said that
"Kingpin we either have or somehow share." Given that Avi Arad has stressed that Kingpin was also a potential character that could be used in Sony's
The Amazing Spider-Man franchise, it seems that Wilson Fisk falls under the same shared character umbrella as Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch.
Feige also commented on the rights of Namor and Elektra, but seemed to be less sure in his response:
"No, Namor I think is a little complicated, the way some of them are. Elektra I think we have. I think that was part of Daredevil, and that's clean and simple."
Marvel's Netflix series' are due to launch in 2015.
