Tom Hiddleston has been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2011, and over the past decade or so, Loki has become a major player in that world. He's fought The Avengers, teamed up with his brother Thor, and even died and returned as a Variant (well, multiple Variants).
At the end of Loki's first season, the God of Mischief found himself trapped in a timeline where Kang the Conqueror rules over the Time Variance Authority. There's been some speculation that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness could pick up with the villain turned hero, while many fans hope the Asgardian will be reunited with his brother in this July's Thor: Love and Thunder.
Talking to Games Radar, Hiddleston was, sadly, willing to give nothing away. "I’m living in a question mark," he tells the site. "It’s all unknown. You know, I used to think that I could predict these things, but I literally have no idea. And I’m not even doing an Andrew Garfield! I just don’t know."
As for what fans should expect from Loki season 2, the actor added: "What can I say? It’s very much continuing to excite and challenge me... At the end of season 1, the story isn’t over. I think that’s really clear. Loki’s almost more unstable, and as turbulent and passionate and chaotic as he’s ever been. And maybe some of that needs resolution. There’s stuff to unpack."
There's been no official word on when Loki will return to Disney+, but excitement for that second season is understandably high. The series should continue to explore the concept of the Multiverse and will hopefully put Kang front and centre as Marvel Studios sets the stage for its next big bad.
