Tom Hiddleston recently sat down with MTV's Josh Horowitz to discuss his Broadway debut in
Betrayal, and talk inevitably turned to the upcoming
Loki Disney+ series.
While Hiddleston was careful not to divulge too much, he did promise that the God of Mischief will be going up against "more formidable opponents" than we've ever seen before, which suggests that Loki is going to encounter some pretty damn powerful enemies.
He also reveals that he only found out about the series a few weeks before
Avengers: Infinity War - which kills off his character in the first scene - hit theaters.
It's been confirmed that the version of the character we'll meet in the series is the same one that escaped with the Tesseract in
Endgame, but aside from that, the plot is still shrouded in secrecy. There is speculation that Loki will tie into
Thor: Love and Thunder somehow, but we'll just have to wait and see.
What do you guys make of Hiddleston's comments? Sound off in the usual place.
