Last Wednesday's episode of Moon Knight, "The Friendly Type," took a deep dive into the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Egyptian mythology, introducing us to the members of The Ennead.
The group, whose members hail from the Overvoid, ultimately cast its judgement on Khonshu and trapped him within a stone statue. That came moments after he used his powers to turn back the night's sky in an effort to help Marc Spector/Steven Grant and Layla track down Ammit's tomb.
In these stills, we get to take a closer look at The Ennead, including Declan Hannigan as Horus' Avatar, Khalid Abdalla as Selim, Osiris' Avatar, Nagisa Morimoto as Isis's Avatar, Diana Bermudez as Yatzil, Hathor's Avatar, and Hayley Konadu as Tefnut's Avatar. They wasted no time in finding Khonshu guilty, and ignored his demands that they return from the Overvoid to stop Arthur Harrow.
Heading into this week's episode, Marc/Steven no longer have Moon Knight's powers and that couldn't come at a worse time. After all, he/they and Layla now know where Arthur Harrow intends to resurrect Ammit, and stopping him is going to be a dangerous mission that could use some superpowers! Something tells us the hero will manage to free Khonshu from his tomb before too long, though.
