The Ms. Marvel season finale was packed full of epic moments, and it's definitely among the best final episodes we've had from Marvel Studios since they brought the MCU to Disney+.
Along with that jaw-dropping "M" word reveal, Kamala Khan got her own superhero costume courtesy of her mom. Yes, after picking up her daughter's damaged necklace last week, Muneeba was inspired to come up with a proper outfit her daughter can wear while protecting Jersey City as its newest superhero.
Later in the episode, the teenager is about to head out on patrol when her father catches up with her. Yusuf remembers how they struggled to have a second child, and says they named her Kamala because it means "Perfect" in Arabic. However, in Urdu, a better translation would be "Marvel," and he tells his daughter that she's always been their little "Ms. Marvel."
With that, the MCU's latest addition has a codename!
Some of you might scoff at this scene, but it's surprisingly emotional and a clever way to name the character. Remember, the MCU has never had a "Ms. Marvel" because Carol Danvers went straight to the Captain Marvel moniker, so Marvel Studios needed to find a way to justify it here.
Throw in the fact that we got to see Kamala "Embiggen," and it's fair to say Marvel Studios has nailed Ms. Marvel's introduction. Now, we can only imagine excitement for The Marvels next year increasing massively...we just hope a season 2 announcement is also forthcoming.
