In last week's episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Jennifer Walters finally met a nice guy at her friend's wedding. In "The Retreat," we see her romance with Josh blossom, eventually leading to them sleeping together. The next morning, he's vanished, and the lawyer spends most of the episode wondering why she hasn't heard from him.
Thanks to an intervention from Emil Blonsky and his new friends, Jen moves on from Josh and deletes his number from her phone. He clearly ghosted her, but the guy isn't just a jerk.
In a flashback to the night they spent together, we see Josh climb out of bed, using his phone to hack hers. He then walks around the bed and takes a photo of the sleeping Jen, messaging "HulkKing" emojis of a needle, test tube, and thumbs-up with a grin on his face.
The motherf***er.
So, he's obviously part of the Intelligencia, but does this mean he somehow managed to get Jen's blood during their tryst? It certainly looks that way and if HulkKing now has what he needs, we could be about to see She-Hulk forced to square off with a whole host of Hulked out bad guys.
Josh Miller isn't a character from the comic books and we have to believe he's reporting to The Leader. There's no real reason to believe that Abomination is up to no good at this point, and this betrayal is bound to have a negative impact on poor Jen as she continues to struggle with balancing her two sides as Jen and She-Hulk.
With Daredevil likely to appear in next week's penultimate episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Marvel Studios has a lot of story to squeeze into the next couple of weeks. Hopefully, they'll stick the landing as this series could have larger ramifications for the wider MCU.
