WANDAVISION Social Media Reactions Praise Marvel Studios' Most Unique, Exciting Project To Date

The first social media reactions for Marvel Studios' WandaVision have been shared ahead of its Disney+ debut next Friday, and it probably won't surprise you that everyone seems to have loved it so far...

WandaVision arrives on Disney+ on January 15th, so we're now less than a week away from the two-episode premiere, with the third arriving on the 22nd. Disney recently shared those first few instalments with critics, and we now have the social media reactions!

It's been far too long since we've visited the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but we don't think that lengthy absence has anything to do with the way people have so far responded to this show.

As you can see below, everyone who has seen those first three episodes - including myself and fellow CBM contributor Rohan Patel - loved them. WandaVision is being praised for being unlike anything Marvel Studios has done before, and it sounds like there's definitely a mystery at the heart of the series which will hook viewers and keep them coming back week after week.

Now, we know some of you are wary when it comes to social media reactions, but the review embargo does lift on Thursday, so we'll be back with more in-depth verdicts then!

Check out some of the reactions - including our own - by reading through the Tweets below:

I think we all know better than to trust early reactions.

Having said that, I have always thought Wandavision looked unique and amazing and these reactions say the same thing. Either way, I'm excited to get new MCU content. It's been so long (Peggy Carter voice, I can't get the gif right now).

Marvel already paying for reviews smh THIS WON'T EVEN BE ON ROTTEN TOMATOES WHY DID YOU PAY THEM?

☑ Another bad joke for me

I'm curious how the community likes this on Friday. I wish we got to see all three episodes. I haven't read anything that says we'll have any surprise characters just yet

@MyCoolYoung - yeah I never liked that argument. Yes, its been well documented studios offer incentives to critics for a higher rotten tomatoes score, but Disney and marvel are hardly the only ones to do it. Not to mention its pretty unlikely any studio can pay off enough critics to genuinely save a movie that would've otherwise failed without the authorities getting involved. Its basically just a quick pick me up. Plus I think this is more a problems with the critics who are sacrificing their credibility or rotten tomatoes for basically encouraging this than on the studios.

@MyCoolYoung -
At some point consumer culture developed to the point you don't even need to bribe them with cash. They want to consume the next bit of media and the thrill of getting to see something before a majority of the rest of the world entices them to lie to maintain the invites to the next thing to consume.

Disney is a big corporation producing a lot of movies, would you risk not being invited to see the new film early simply because you found one thing they produced underwhelming or bad? Also remember its not just seeing the new thing early, it's seeing it early with a bunch of other people, potentially with actors and actresses, potentially with additional bonuses. Pretty sure a few of them had after-showing parties.

@Scarilian - good points, but also just the adrenaline of seeing something early is enough to overwhelm the senses.

I've seen movies early *the longest ride* and thought it was amazing then I watched it at home and it was serviceable.

But yes, great point about the incentives. I'd like to talk to some of these journalists off the records and hear their actual opinions

@Origame - for sure, journalistic integrity should be called into play. Is there any agencies that actually keep journalists/reviewers in check if they have an agenda for example

@MyCoolYoung - it'd be hard to prove definitely.

As a Bills fan, I say take him.

Feels like Marvel really wants to evolve with TV. Endgame marked the end of an era and the next could be something totally different. Makes you wonder how wild Moon Knight, Hawkeye, and the other shows will be. The tv shows have the potential to rival the films in terms of popularity amongst the fans.

WandaVision being something totally different is a good sign.
