Randall Park's FBI Agent Jimmy Woo made a memorable impact in Ant-Man and The Wasp, but WandaVision has established the character as a firm fan-favourite. His future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe remains to be seen, but it's hard to imagine anyone complaining about an Agents of Atlas spinoff.
While many fans have pitched the idea of Woo and Kat Dennings' Dr. Darcy Lewis teaming up to investigate the strange goings-on in the MCU, it's Agents of Atlas that Park is really interested in.
"I am familiar with Agents of Atlas in part because a lot of fans have been talking about it and friends would send me links to the discussion amongst fans about that. That would be incredible," the actor tells Fandom. "Just to be in the Marvel universe in any way is just such a thrill for me. But if a show like that would come to fruition that would be a dream come true. I mean it’s already a dream come true just being in the Marvel universe."
Agents of Atlas is a classic Marvel Comics team, and a recent iteration included Speed, Wiccan, and Shang-Chi. It feels like something that could happen, but Park is taking it one day at a time.
"As a kid, I collected these comic books, and I was just such a fan as a kid, and to see all of it come to life on the big screen and then to be a part of it, it’s just crazy to me," Park adds. "So the talk of a Jimmy Woo spin-off or Agents of Atlas, that’s almost too crazy for me. I don’t know if I could even handle that. But I would love it and I would do anything for Marvel because I just love it so much."
Like Park, we'll just have to wait and see what happens, but there's no way Marvel Studios won't have taken note of the interest in the character from fans. How realistic Agents of Atlas actually is remains to be seen, but you have to believe there could be a place for the team on Disney+.
