WANDAVISION Star Randall Park Says Starring In An AGENT OF ATLAS Spinoff Would Be "A Dream Come True"

WandaVision star Randall Park has opened up on the possibility of returning as Jimmy Woo in an Agents of Atlas movie or TV show, revealing it would be "a dream come true." Read on for further details...

Randall Park's FBI Agent Jimmy Woo made a memorable impact in Ant-Man and The Wasp, but WandaVision has established the character as a firm fan-favourite. His future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe remains to be seen, but it's hard to imagine anyone complaining about an Agents of Atlas spinoff.

While many fans have pitched the idea of Woo and Kat Dennings' Dr. Darcy Lewis teaming up to investigate the strange goings-on in the MCU, it's Agents of Atlas that Park is really interested in.

"I am familiar with Agents of Atlas in part because a lot of fans have been talking about it and friends would send me links to the discussion amongst fans about that. That would be incredible," the actor tells Fandom. "Just to be in the Marvel universe in any way is just such a thrill for me. But if a show like that would come to fruition that would be a dream come true. I mean it’s already a dream come true just being in the Marvel universe."

Agents of Atlas is a classic Marvel Comics team, and a recent iteration included Speed, Wiccan, and Shang-Chi. It feels like something that could happen, but Park is taking it one day at a time.

"As a kid, I collected these comic books, and I was just such a fan as a kid, and to see all of it come to life on the big screen and then to be a part of it, it’s just crazy to me," Park adds. "So the talk of a Jimmy Woo spin-off or Agents of Atlas, that’s almost too crazy for me. I don’t know if I could even handle that. But I would love it and I would do anything for Marvel because I just love it so much."

Like Park, we'll just have to wait and see what happens, but there's no way Marvel Studios won't have taken note of the interest in the character from fans. How realistic Agents of Atlas actually is remains to be seen, but you have to believe there could be a place for the team on Disney+.

Considering immense diversity, & vast array of personalities and characters, this is almost guaranteed to happen. Randall Park can definitely carry a show by himself.

He's great in the role. Hope it happens.

I guess his charming awkwardness could be explained by his being time displaced from the '50s.

Depending on which iteration of the team in the comics they pull from, we could actually have almost a whole team by the end of this year

@PC04 - I could see him having the Netflix Rosario Dawson role throughout the MCU shows. He could get bumped up to Sword Agent as well. Same with Darcy

@PC04 -
Very cool to see people who grew up on this stuff get their chance to be inside of it. Love the character and Park does a great job with it.

That would be pretty cool. Kinda hoping we'll get Venus and Marvel Boy as the co-leads. And the robot (forgot his name, D-11?) could be fun too.

Other characters I do want to see are Amadeus Cho, Rick Jones and Jack Flag (although the latter too aren't in the comics, I do think they would fit).

It's tough to think of an MCU actor who is more deserving. Dude's a king and a fanboy.

Can someone tell me what the Agents of Atlas’ thing is? Like what is their team’s niche? Not familiar with them
TheUnworthyThor
TheUnworthyThor - 2/10/2021, 3:08 PM
@PicolasCage - They are a team consisting of characters introduced in the 1950’s (like Woo) in the Marvel Comics predecessor Atlas Comics. Recently they were revamped as an all-Asian team still led by Woo before becoming a blend of the two teams. They are a fun and offbeat team.

@PicolasCage - secret organization of Genghis Khan Woo becomes the leader, but he uses its resources to try and do some good. Its a bit more, but I think they might change it if its gonna happen in the MCU

@TheUnworthyThor - hm interesting, so which members might be on the team in the MCU? Shang-Chi, Woo, whoever Awkwafina is playing, anyone else?
