Laurence Fishburne Officially Joins The Cast Of NBC's 'Hannibal'

Laurence Fishburne Has Officially Joined The Cast Of NBCs Hannibal Lecter Television Series.......................................

Laurence Fishburne, who has been rumoured to play as Jack Crawford in the upcoming Hannibal Lecter television series, has now been officially cast. According to Entertainment Weekly, the Matrix actor will be playing FBI Behavioral Sciences Unit Leader Jack Crawford, the same character played by Scott Glenn in The Silence of the Lambs (as seen in the image below) and Harvey Keitel in Red Dragon.



The series, based on the characters of the Thomas Harris novel, Red Dragon, is planned for seven seasons, the fourth being an adaptation of the novel. Red Dragon was previously adapted in 1986, in the film Manhunter, and again in the 2002 film Red Dragon.

hope it's not as bad as the Hannibal movie, But Silence of the Lambs is one of my favorites

I dont know yet what to expect from this show but if Fishburne and Mikkelsen has balls to sign in then i guess it has to be at least decent.
I truelly hope it is. That would make up that Mikkelsen leaving Thor 2 situation.

I gotta say they couldnt have got more suitable actor to play Younger Hannibal than Mikkelsen. He has the twisted looks needed for the role, acting skills and he is European like Hannibal.

That guy gives you nightmares. :)


Hope the series is R-Rated. Hannibal is nothing without some twisted mutilation scenes.

I wish this show was going to be on AMC instead. They aren't afraid to push the envelope just like in show like Walking Dead and Breaking Bad.
