Vivien Lyra Blair, who played the young Princess Leia in the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series, has revealed that she is hoping to reprise the role for a spin-off show.

While chatting to Bleeding Cool, The Boogeyman actress was asked if she's been contacted about potentially returning for a second season.

Blair hasn't heard anything, but even if Lucasfilm does come up with a way to continue the story, she doesn't think Leia would be involved. However, she would be more than happy to return for a new series focusing on the young princess and her loyal droid, Lola!

"I don't know. I honestly have no information. If I did, I wouldn't be able to tell anyone. I think Ewan's hoping they could do season two [of Obi-Wan Kenobi]. I was saying as much as I would love to do it, I don't see how I would fit into it because it's commonly thought that he doesn't see Leia again until she asks for help in A New Hope."

"I feel maybe I could do a cameo kind of thing like Teenage Leia at the end of the second season," she added. "Maybe there could be that, but we're also hoping for my show, like Leia and Lola thing, which could be fun to do. I hope I get to come back and play her again, but it may be a limited series, and that may be all it is."

While this idea does have some potential, we'd say it's highly unlikely - though it would be a shame if we didn't get to see Blair in this role again.

Obi-Wan Kenobi managed to pull off (depending on who you ask) a compelling enough story set between the events of the Prequels and A New Hope, but revisiting the former Jedi master for another pre-original trilogy adventure might be pushing it - especially if Leia and/or Darth Vader are also involved.

Would you be interested in a second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi or a Leia spin-off? Let us know in the usual place.

Vivien Lyra Blair saying she hopes for a Leia spinoff does not equal "Vivien Lyra Blair Teases Potential Spin-Off Focusing On Leia".

She was one of the worst parts in a show full of bad parts.

Nothing against the actress. But the character was annoying.

Yet another example of a character that should have never been introduced at that age; and should NEVER have interacted with Kenobi prior to A New Hope.

@TyrantBossMedia - I think it makes sense that Leia had some type of interaction with Obi Wan before A New Hope. The hologram in R2D2 makes it sound like she knew him to some degree.

But I don't think we really needed to see how or why she knows him, and we certainly didn't need that connection to be from a 9 year old Leia.

@CorndogBurglar - What she knew is more of him than knew him.
Bail Organa, her father clearly told stories about Kenobi and how to find him but she never met him.

Let’s make this amazing Leia show about her running. Running from adults in precarious situations and speaking sass to all the icky men trying to control her. She gets out of some tough situations through her amazing evasion skills. And always talks back. Especially to men. It’ll be great.

ROFL!! I feel like I just watched half of all this year's Hollywood movies now.

@DocSpock - Get that but I was specifically referring to this show. The running scenes in episode 1 and (I think) 3 were just ridiculous. Then there was the smuggling her out of the Empire base under a freaking coat like a Scooby Doo cartoon.

We all expected a young Leia to be sassy so that’s fine, but I think we all hoped Obi Wan would have been much less of a bitch than he was in the show.

I hear ya, and I agree. This show kinda wore me down. Don't care too mush about old Obi Wan stories now.

mountainman - 6/3/2023, 2:24 PM
@DocSpock - Yeah it maybe could have been great, even if it was unnecessary. But there were so many odd decisions that went into it.
CorndogBurglar

@mountainman - She really was insufferable as a character. It hurt the show a lot and it made me hate pretty much every time she was on the screen.

In one of thenearly episodes Obi Wan is very obviously trying to save her and she's [frick]ing sassing him and acting like he's a bad guy the entire time. So annoyint.
mountainman
mountainman - 6/4/2023, 11:50 AM
@CorndogBurglar - Agreed. But I felt like it was more about how Obi Wan was written as an emasculated beta male. Young Leia who was raised in extreme privilege would be a sassy and over confident girl.

I still think the running scenes are worse than any dialog. Especially the one in episode 1.

Just saw this kid in "The Boogeyman". She was a highlight, cute kid and she did a good job. But a big HELL NO to this series. It would be like greenlighting one of these Spider-man spinoffs that no one gives 2 shits about.
