Ewan McGregor recently confirmed that cameras will start rolling on Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Spring, with production set to take place primarily in Los Angeles. That's the same location as The Mandalorian, of course, which is no great shock when the series is expected to use that same Stagecraft tech.
Little is known about the show, but it will take place between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, as expected. Hayden Christensen will reprise the role of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, and comments from Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy have left Star Wars fans convinced Kenobi and Vader will cross paths again before that fateful duel on the Death Star.
McGregor hasn't taken on that many action roles since his first stint playing the Jedi Master, but is clearly getting into shape as he prepares to make his return on the harsh dunes of Tatooine.
The photo below shows the Scottish actor looking ripped and in terrific shape ahead of Obi-Wan Kenobi's planned shoot date a couple of months from now.
We've heard little in the way of casting news beyond McGregor and Christensen's involvement, but with so many secret cameos in The Mandalorian season 2, there are sure to be some huge surprises.
