As excitement continues to build for Obi-Wan Kenobi, three new behind the scenes stills have been revealed showcasing the work that went into the Disney+ series. As great as it is to see more of "Ben" Kenobi and Uncle Owen (not to mention a group of Imperial Stormtroopers) it's the Sith Inquisitors we're sure most of you will enjoy taking a closer look at.
Reva's costume is awesome, but this is perhaps our best look yet at Rupert Friend's Grand Inquisitor. There was some initial backlash to the villain's transition from Star Wars Rebels to live-action, but he looks much better here. Even if Lucasfilm had enlisted Jason Isaacs (who voiced The Grand Inquisitor in that show), we're not sure how else they could have adapted such a stylised character.
With just weeks to go until the series launches on Disney+, we'll no doubt have more to share soon, though some big spoilers have started doing the rounds this week (check them out here).
Obi-Wan Kenobi's story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where the hero faced his greatest defeat - the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader.
Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. Deborah Chow directed all six episodes of the show which premieres on May 27 with its first two episodes and wraps up on June 22.
