OBI-WAN KENOBI: Two New Character Posters Shift The Focus To Luke Skywalker's Uncle Owen And Aunt Beru

With less than 36 hours to go until the final episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi arrives on Disney+, Lucasfilm has shared two more character posters for the series. What's surprising here, however, is that they don't focus on any characters from that penultimate instalment (not that it exactly introduced any new faces).

Instead, these put the spotlight on Joel Edgerton's Owen Lars and Bonnie Piesse's Beru Lars. You probably don't need us to tell you that they're Luke Skywalker's Aunt and Uncle, though the latter has yet to really factor into the show.

At the end of last week's instalment [SPOILER ALERT], a mortally wounded Reva learned that Luke is Anakin Skywalker's son and realised that the Owen she met on Tatooine...well, he's more than just a simple farmer. Clearly, she plans to return to the planet in an effort to make Darth Vader pay another way, and Ben had better hope he can get home in time to save the day.

With that in mind, these posters do a great job of teasing what's to come. Whereas previous Obi-Wan Kenobi character banners have put the titular Jedi Master or Vader in the eyes of its leads, these appear to show the young Luke casting his shadow in front of those Twin Suns.

Some have speculated it could be Leia and that the brother and sister will briefly meet without knowing who the other is, but what we do know is that the action is clearly going to return to Tatooine in the finale.

Take a look at these new Obi-Wan Kenobi character posters below and stay tuned to our sister site, SFFGazette.com, for all the latest on this show and the entire Galaxy Far, Far Away.

I'm glad Bonnie got out of NXIVM. She was instrumental in shutting that Cult down. Beru knows a thing or two about taking down evil Empires.

@TheAcuario - she was. She was a high ranking member from what I remember, but as soon as she found out the really bad stuff was happening she spent years trying to get them shut down, her marriage even was destroyed over it because her husband who was also in it refused to believe the bad stuff was happening, and only after their divorce did he start seeing red flags and he joined the efforts to shut them down, but it was too late for their marriage.

Too bad Luke never mentions them ever again in the whole saga, in spite of the fact they literally raised him to be a GOOD human being until the age of 19. That is why Luke was a great Jedi with human qualities and not an emotionless, brainwashed monk-warrior. Why we wish we'd seen more of Owen and Beru.
