The Mandalorian is a series that's often delivered its fair share of surprise cameos, but yesterday's effort was pretty much non-stop!

In a cold opening, we caught up with a couple of familiar Mandalorians as they pursued a Quarren Captain and Mon Calamari Nobleman who had decided to elope. The former was played by Christine Adams, a British actress many of you will know best for her roles as Agent Anne Weaver in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Dr Lynn Stewart/Lynn Pierce in Black Lightning

As for that Nobleman, if that voice sounded a little familiar, it's probably because he was brought to life by Harry Holland, the brother of Spider-Man actor Tom Holland!

Here's where we get to the A-List, though. On a planet called Plazir-15, we meet its rulers...The Super Mario Bros. Movie star Jack Black (Captain Bombardier) and Grammy winner Lizzo (The Duchess).

Both are pretty hilarious in their respective roles, though we've done some digging, and neither character appears to have any sort of connection to those already established elsewhere in Star Wars canon.

Prior to The Mandalorian's season 3 launch, there were rumblings we might see Back to the Future icon Christopher Lloyd make an appearance and he does as the villainous Commissioner Hellgate.

There are also a few other noteworthy names scattered throughout "Guns For Hire" - which was directed by Bryce Dallas Howard - including comedian Jen Kober.

Overall, this was another solid instalment of The Mandalorian, albeit one that didn't move the story along quite as much as some will have been hoping. It did, however, feature a fun mystery, a huge status quo change for the Darksaber, and these massive cameo appearances!
