THE MANDALORIAN: Sabine Wren Is Now Rumored To Appear In Season 2 (But Who Is Playing Her?)

Last night, it was reported that Temuera Morrison could be playing Captain Rex as well as Boba Fett in The Mandalorian season two, but it now sounds like Sabine Wren is also set to make an appearance.

The Mandalorian season two is shaping up to be one of the most epic Star Wars adventures of all-time, as we've learned that Rosario Dawson is playing Ashoka Tano, while Temeura Morrison is returning to a Galaxy Far, Far Away to take on the role of Boba Fett... and possibly Captain Rex as well!

Now, another rumour has started doing the rounds which points to a live-action version of Sabine Wren also making an appearance. That makes perfect sense, especially as Star Wars Rebels ended with her and Ahsoka setting off to search for Ezra Bridger following Return of the Jedi

This next part is speculation, but as you can see below, there are also rumblings that WWE Superstar Sasha Banks could have been cast as Sabine in The Mandalorian (she certainly looks the part).

We're obviously going to have to wait and see, but the show's second season really can't get here soon enough at this point. With any luck, some official news will be revealed sooner rather than later.

Eiza González can also be a good Sabine.

Hopefully a lesser known actress.

Lol no way they cast Banks as Sabine. Get your mind out of the WWE gutter, Josh.

@L0RDbuckethead - It's already been reported that Banks has shot scenes for season two, so 🤷‍♂️.

@Juicebox316 -

Might be as another character like a bounty hunter, but she looks nothing like Sabine.

Can't they just cast an asian actress in her late twenties to early thirties, not a professional wrestler ? Sabine needs an actress with solid acting chops.

@Juicebox316 - And your point...? That in no way means she is Sabine.

She's probably playing some one-off character.

Rumors galore

I really wonder where these rumors are coming from. To me The Mandalorian doesn't really seem to be the place for all these characters to return. Maybe, just maybe, in a flashback like Death Watch, but nothing more

@MalseMarcel - to me it makes a lot of sense being Rebels ended and the post script for it was right after the Empire's defeat. Sabine and Ahsoka left looking for Ezra, so the timeline adds up at least.

@MalseMarcel - filoni seems to be doing for star wars, what feige did for marvel. Connecting it all into one big tapestry. You can argue falcon doesn't fit in ant man 1 but the cameo was awesome. Or dr. strange and hulk in thor ragnarok.

Its all one continued world and filoni is making his own star wars universe

@MalseMarcel -

The Mandalorian is kind of a sequel to the Mandalore arc of The Clone Wars and Rebels.

It's a rumor, yeah, but on that makes sense tho.
You know, seeing how Rebels ended...

@Doomsday8888 - it ended with her going to search for Ezra but that would have been roughly 9 years before Mandalorian season 1 so a lot could have happened

@Ha1frican - I thought Revbels ended post ROTJ.

@KnifeWasTooSlow - The Epilogue took place after ROTJ. The main plot ended before even ANH did.

@KnifeWasTooSlow - you’re right, I thought they went to look for Ezra right at the end but it was later, still that gives a few years that they could have searched for him or we could find them as they are searching

I never got into this character or most of the Rebels crew. She just seemed pretty childish to me. When they first introduced her she was literally grafiting tie fighters. Hardly a "rebel". More like an inconvenience.

@Nightwing1015 - Grafiti is actually pretty widely utilized by resistance movements...
Nightwing1015
Nightwing1015 - 5/10/2020, 6:50 AM
@SerKurtWagner - That might be the case. But it doesn't exactly make for thrilling Star Wars content. Not exactly what you think of when you think Rebel Alliance. Wouldn't it be better to just bomb/disable those tie fighters? Nah just spray paint them. That'll teach Palpatine.
