THE MANDALORIAN Season 2 TV Spot Reveals A Brief New Shot Of The Child In His Floating Crib

A new TV spot for season two of The Mandalorian has been released, and while it's light on fresh footage, we do get a never before seen shot of The Child in his floating crib. Check out the cuteness here!

The Mandalorian returns to Disney+ for its second season on October 30th, and following the release of that trailer last week, we now have a new TV spot. Unfortunately, it mostly reuses footage from the full sneak peek, but there is a shot of The Child looking as wonderfully adorable as ever.

Recently, a brief synopsis was revealed, stating: "The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire."

That also doesn't reveal much, but earlier this week, Disney and Lucasfilm announced "Mando Mondays," an all-new global consumer products, games, and publishing program kicking off on October 26th. After fans experience the latest episode every Friday on Disney+, they can visit MandoMondays.com each Monday to see what new toys, collectibles, apparel, books, comics, digital content, and more will be unveiled. That will culminate on December 21st.

It's been said that there won't be any shortages of Baby Yoda toys this Christmas, while the "Mando Mondays" news also confirms that the plan is for The Mandalorian to be released on a weekly basis.

Check out the TV spot below:

It's weird to think that they'll never have the child grow up in the show. I mean that's such a natural progression to go with a baby character, but the concept of his aging being so slow that at 50 he's still in his infancy makes that impossible.

@Origame - maybe that's also why they picked this particular species. Instead of the baby, the rest progresses

@bkmeijer - I mean yoda was like 800 when he actually died. So it seems very proportional to how we age. Plus, I'm not sure the biological benefits of a species that spends decades in infancy then just speeding through all other stages and go straight to adulthood. Especially since adolescence is defined by the development of sexuality, which is arguably the most important component of any species.

And fyi, I don't necessarily see him remaining as a baby to be a problem. That's their choice, and since the show is about a mandalorian this choice was probably done so they could both have a force user but also not have them be ridiculously op compared to the protagonist.

@Origame - I don't see the child as a problem either, more like a cool story gimmick. Its always the child growing up, but now it's actually other characters going through developments while the child stays, well, a child.

And they refer to it as the child, which makes me think he (or she?) might be older than we think. For comparison, Yoda was 900 (90 in human years is my guess), so the child would be 5 (50 in Yoda years)

The force user explanation makes sense too though.
