AHSOKA And SKELETON CREW Rumors Point To Game-Changing Plans For The STAR WARS Universe - Possible SPOILERS

Making Star Wars (via SFFGazette.com) has shared an interesting new set of rumours for Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew, revealing that both Disney+ TV shows are likely to have quite a bit in common. Both take place in The Mandalorian's post-Return of the Jedi setting, and it seems the plan is for Ahsoka Tano to cameo in that newest addition to Lucasfilm's small screen slate.

All we really know about Skeleton Crew is that it will follow a group of kids who get lost in the Galaxy together, but where they end up may be key to both shows.

Apparently, when we catch up with Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn in Ahsoka, it will be revealed that they both spent time in "The New Beyond" or "New Space" following Star Wars Rebels. A completely new and unexplored area of the Star Wars Universe, it reportedly uses and views the Force much differently from what we've grown used to.

In fact, the insinuation here is that any magic users we've seen up until this point are likely to have hailed from there.

It's said the kids in Skeleton Crew may find themselves lost in this new universe, revealing a whole new side to Star Wars, unlike anything we've seen before. With Ahsoka seemingly introducing those concepts, a crossover makes sense.

The site goes on to share some interesting speculation about paranormal forces and undead soldiers that we'd recommend checking out, but they also go on to confirm that Lars Mikkelsen is playing Thrawn, red eyes and all! Seeing as the actor lent his chilling voice to the villain in Rebels, we can fully get on board with that casting.

It's definitely an interesting time for Star Wars, and with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni spearheading these stories, we really have no reason to worry about such out-of-the-box concepts finding their way into a franchise many have argued has grown stale. With both shows set to premiere next year, we hope to learn more soon.

What do you guys make of these Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew details?

@kazuma - I think your nostalgia goggles are too rose colored about Star Wars.

I challenge you to find any frame of any Non Disney Star Wars film, so literally just the OT and the Prequels, and ill show you frames from Andor or The Mandalorian that rival if not completely dwarf the quality of the original 2 trilogies.

You can talk negatives about the story and writing and mismanagement behind the scenes of the franchise as a whole, but the one thing that has be outstanding in the Disney era has been the costumes and set design and weapons and ships and droids and world building have been wonderful. At least on par with the older trilogies because these people are the ones actually putting effort into the shows.

Disney definitely spent money, just not always managed the right way :Obi wan and Book of Boba:

But they look better than the OT and Prequels. They couldn't pull off this eras level of high def attention to detail. A New Hope in 4k would have looked like a fan film.

@kazuma - The ones primarily filmed on "the volume" look cheap, but Andor looks glorious. Such a beautiful production.

@TheVandalore - I'm not talking about Disney Star Wars movies. I'm talking about their shows. Mando and Boba Fett (Haven't seen andor because of my complaints), are all crap. Everything feels and looks cheap. Everything feels too clean and plastic.
Piss poor acting, writing, story telling and the action scenes are all awkwardly paced and poorly choreographed.

The sets and costumes might look good but they also look and feel like they're made for a cable TV show. And yeah, they are tv shows. But that doesn't change my opinion on them looking cheap.

@Shivermetimbers - From the clips I've seen of Andor it does look pretty good. I'm just kinda burned out on Star wars lately as we haven't gotten anything interesting.

I'll watch Star Wars again when we see Sith vs Jedi. Which hasn't happened since EP3.

@kazuma - I feel the same way mostly, but I decided to watch Andor because it looked different. Even if it had nothing to do with Star Wars I would have watched it and I am happy I did. It is very good. Best new Star Wars related production in a while.

I am looking forward to new Force lore. The sequels did so much mishandling of it that anything will excite me. Even midichlorian lore would be fine.

Is this a reliable source at all, or does Josh just "report" on any and everything that has to do with Disney/Marvel/Lucasfilm/Pixar/Fox with nerdgastic excitement...?

^the answer is obvious.
