Lucas has ruined Return of the Jedi with all the stupid changes over the years. I can't even watch it anymore.

ROTJ is my personal favourite but the 2nd Death Star concept is clumsy. Lucas said that in his original Star Wars plan, the story ended with the Death Star blowing up. But because he had to smash that 3 act structure into the first film, he had a problem. He had already destroyed the Death Star and that was meant to mark the end of the story.

So he just made another one, lol

Did Work: Return of the Jedi
Didn't Work: This article and just about anything written by Josh Wilding

as Josh types "slave Leia" this works right?.........

2 mins later .. oh well just go with my gut (feels right coach)

Need this Luke in Mandalorian. Especially if the Darksaber theories are true.

RevanIsMyMan - 6/26/2020, 8:02 AM
Ok I'm going to say this right now. Josh quit going with popular opinions especially when it involves the Ewoks. I can tell you right now that the Ewoks are scarier than shit, and tried to eat Han, Luke, Chewie, and somehow R2. I'm not [frick]ing with them.
rkshuttleworth - 6/26/2020, 8:21 AM
@RevanIsMyMan - That's the thing lol. Every creature has the ability to be nasty lol
MasterMix - 6/26/2020, 8:17 AM
I despise the addition of "Nooooo!" That redemption is so perfect without having to say a word or show visible emotion.
RevanIsMyMan - 6/26/2020, 8:27 AM
@MasterMix - That I agree with. But it does seem he has never seen Star Wars until recently

OT: TLOU Part II sold a record breaking 4 million copies in its first weekend. Another win for the get woke, go broke crowd.
Nightwing1015 - 6/26/2020, 8:59 AM
@WakandanQueen - I'm not sure TLOU2 actually went "woke". I know there are many saying that it did because they want clicks on their videos and money.

But after playing it, there's nothing remotely "politically correct" about it. On the contrary. So I don't think anyone can actually say the game "went woke".
Nightwing1015 - 6/26/2020, 9:03 AM
@TheJustinHammer - Yeah exactly. Some people will literally say anything is "political correctness" for money. Doesn't make it true. A same sex relationship is obviously not forced political correctness.

So TLOU2 really has not bearing on the proposed relationship between "getting woke" and "going broke".
WakandanQueen - 6/26/2020, 9:13 AM
@Nightwing1015 - I know, but to that crowd of people just the existence of minorities anywhere is a woke politcal agenda shoved down their throats by the evil SJWs.
Nightwing1015 - 6/26/2020, 9:18 AM
@DutchCipher - Well some right wingers called the game woke. Only the ones intent on stirring up controversy. I doubt anyone who actually buys and plays the game can actually make a convincing argument that it's woke. Those who say it's woke tend not to have actually played it.
Nightwing1015 - 6/26/2020, 9:21 AM
@WakandanQueen - Yeah that is true those people are out there.

To be honest, I think it's pretty rare in media that you really get a product that goes out of its way to shove political correctness where it doesn't belong. I'm really struggling to think of more than a few instances of that. People make a fuss about that happening all the time but it's really very rare.
WakandanQueen - 6/26/2020, 9:27 AM
@TheJustinHammer - But I don't want politics in my games! I'm boycotting!
lawndart - 6/26/2020, 9:39 AM
I never thought that a second Death Star was lazy nor clumsy. It was have been nice to see another new piece of hardware, it made sense to have another battle station.

The first major capability (regardless whether it is a ship, aircraft or ground vehicle ) that goes into production always takes more time because so often the processes and procedures are being developed during production to one degree or another. In addition, there are production milestones and limited use analysis and testing. Once the Empire reached a certain level of confidence in the manufacturing and item itself, they would naturally begin building another simultaneously.
