The Mandalorian makes its highly anticipated return to Disney+ this Friday, and with everyone from Boba Fett to Ahsoka Tano rumoured to appear, the stakes are clearly going to be higher than ever.

Din Djarin is setting out on a mission to reunite the Child with its own kind (the Jedi), but to do so, he's going to need to find more Mandalorians. In case you've forgotten the events of season one or are planning to jump straight into the second batch of episodes, Disney+ has now released a new recap video putting the spotlight on the biggest moments from those first eight chapters.

It also serves as a nice tease for what's to come, though there's sadly no new footage here (that long rumoured promo footage of Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka is still nowhere to be found).

In season two, the Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire. The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito, and the first three are highlighted here alongside The Child.

Check out this (obviously spoiler-filled) recap of season one below:

That's nice of them. I actually remember most of it pretty well though. My retention of episodes is 10x better on the weekly format than if I binge.

Anyone know if they are planning on releasing two episodes on the first day like they did last year?

Episode 5 of season 2 is written and directed by Dave Filoni. My hunch tells me that Ahsoka Tano might appear in this one if they're really planning to introduce her this season.
