VENOM Theatrical Poster Assembles Tom Hardy's Psychotic Symbiote And The Supporting Cast

Venom is now less than 3 weeks away from release, and Sony has just debuted a pretty cool new theatrical one-sheet featuring Tom Hardy, Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams, and, of course, The Symbiote himself...

Sony has now entered into the final marketing push for Venom, and as we get closer to the movie's October 5 release we're going to begin seeing a lot more from the unofficial Spider-Man spin-off.

The film's Twitter account has now debuted a new theatrical poster, which assembles Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), Anne Weying (Michelle Williams) and Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed) in the foreground while the ravenous Symbiote looms menacingly above.

Post credit should be Eddie Brock transferring to NY to change his life and sits in a room full of people for an interview at the daily bugle with Tom Holland's Peter Parker walking into the room asking if he is late for his interview.

@SonOfAGif - where would that fall on the timeline?

@ftf530 - Somewhere after Homecoming but before infinity war. Giving Venom a chance to fill the void between 2016-2018.

This could set up Carnage as the villain of Spiderman 3 with Venom as an ally

@SonOfAGif - I don't want to be the cynic, but even if Holland shows up somehow, I just don't see how MS is ever going to allow it to become part of the canon.

I want this movie to be good, but Sony’s track record with superhero movies sucks. I don’t want to get my hopes too high, cause if it bombs I’ll be super disappointed. Cautiously optimistic at this point.

mmm, it's very MCU-esque, specially the pre-phase 3 batch of posters. I know what you're doing Sony.

I like the tendrils around hardy....not really the rest though. It blows my mind that venom still looks awful with his cgi evenbon a damn poster.

There is such a small chance this movie will be good. It bothers me so...please prove me wrong Sony.

@Mrcool210 - The whole liquid rubber extending out of the back of his clothes to throw people around looks so bad IMO... i just never imagined it coming THROUGH clothing... had to always originate from skin and travel around and encompass clothing. Ideally, it would be safest on screen and more interesting if it had NO clothing to visually come from the body in the most epic way. That way he had to put on actual clothing making him more like Spidey... it would be more of a bleeding-edge Venom i guess. it just looks silly coming through a hoodie... just makes me wanna laugh.
