Ubisoft has revealed that the new expansion for
Assassin's Creed will be named as
The Da Vinci Disappearance where Ezio is tasked with finding famed artist Leonardo Da Vinci, who was kidnapped by cultists after the fall of the Borgias in Rome. The expansion contains two new locations and two new gameplay features, but Ubisoft hasn´t detailed any.
The multi-player portion is considered to be the "biggest expansion" to date in
Assassin's Creed, which includes one new map, Alhambra, set in Spain's Albaicin of Granada. There are also four new characters and two new game play modes, Escort and Assassinate. Escort pits two teams of four against each other as they protect their own VIP target while trying to assassinate their opponent's. Assassinate is a six to eight death match-style mode.
The expansion will cost 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live or $9.99 on PlayStation Network.
