Robin To Be A Playable Character In Batman: Arkham City!

Well, only for two challenge maps but it's something. According to this new report, Robin will be a downloadable character as Best Buy pre-order exclusive. Check it out!

There were many speculations on whether or not will we see Robin as playable character in the upcoming video game sequel Batman: Arkham City. Rocksteady gave some hints but they never confirmed it. Well, it looks like it's indeed true because Best Buy is offering a pre-order exclusive to play as Robin for two challenge maps. Here is a photo taken from Best Buy Catalog courtesy of Arkhamcity.co.uk:





I'm guessing this will become available as DLC at some point for those who didn't pre-order the Best Buy offer. So, what do you think about this?

Batman: Arkham City is set to be released on October 18th.

sigh i don't know why they even wanted to include robin,no robin the better the batman universe,those 2 maps i will ignore hopefully he is not in the main storyline.

Pretty sweet. I don't why people have a problem with Robin. He's been one of the best characters in comics since the 90's. We've come a long way from the Burt Ward days, people. Maybe you should pick up a comic every now and then.

Marvel is kicking ass in it's films department right now but they are extremely lagging it with their video games licenses. DC isn't doing that much better but I hope Marvel starts putting out quality games. I'll be picking this up first day, pretty sure GameStop will have a better option though. Probably a nude Catwoman skin ;)

for me it comes down to the name & look of the character.

take a look at both robin & nightwing,then tell me which one looks better & hasn't got a lame ass name.

I'm kinda with marvel72 as well. Plus I never understood how a little kid could really beat up adult men. Regardless of how acrobatic he is.

Plus his attitude is a little different, and I like him protecting his own city. Making Dick into Nightwing was the smartest thing they could do for the character.

What's so bad about Robin though honestly? In the 60's if I was born I'd agree but the character isn't a bad one. I hope they add more downloadable characters. Especially Nightwing. I just hope its not best buy exclusives because I seriously don't trust them with my reserved games

If the download were the Carrie Kelly or the Stephanie Brown Robins, then I would download this without hesitation. The other Robins just never came across as being useful and/or interesting (IMO).

Robins in order of Awesome
Damian Wayne > Dick Grayson > Tim Drake > Jason Todd > Stephanie Brown.

@GL, have you never pre-ordered a game before? Of course you can cancel your pre-orders and get your money back, and then you can either goto Best Buy itself, or pre-order online on their site. Dur. I don't even know why you asked such a dumb question lol. I know I sound like an ass but it's common sense.

It's like asking, "If I run out of toilet paper, should I go get more?" Duh.
