Star Wars the Old Republic - A Struggle for Subscribers...
News broke late last night that EA will be offering the first 15 levels of gameplay for free on the highly anticipated Star Wars the Old Republic MMO that came out in December of 2011. The article mentions that they lost 400,000 subscribers just last month to the game. The hope is that by offering this free content they can continue to develop a paying fan base. Just a little over 6 months since the launch of the game and they are already struggling for subscribers? (For the record they currently say they have 1,000,000 subscriptions.) With a price-tag of estimated $100 - 300 million dollars in development costs, it is beginning to look like EA is desperate to make this game work.

About The Author:
I believe in the art of storytelling. What is that you ask? Stories have the ability to change people, to mold minds, and to make individuals do great things in their lives. Stories are more than just words that can become ideologies to live by. I'm crazy you say. But I challenge you with this, who is King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table? What about the Norse and Greek Mythology? All stories, but all teach a moral code and good or bad examples of ethical behavior.
That is the age we live in, the comics we read and the stories we see on screen that is the Modern Age's own Mythology.
Live long and Prosper.
