After many years of waiting and of delays, Bioshock Infinite is now released. Bioshock Infinite is the third and the newest game in the Bioshock series. But is it really worth getting? Well I will explain to you all the goodness in the game. And warning, there will be some spoilers!

Bioshock Infinite takes place in the year 1912. You are in control of Booker Dewitt, a man that has a big problem with a lot of debt. In order to wipe off the debt, Booker must save a girl named Elizabeth from the tower she is locked up in and he must successfully take her out of the floating city of Columbia. Columbia is the setting of Bioshock Infinite and this city looks very amazing. The moment you first see the sky city of Columbia you will notice that the graphics look pretty awesome as well. So the leader of Columbia, Zachary Hale Comstock, is the main antagonist of Bioshock Infinite. Comstock is also seen as a prophet by many people in Columbia. So when you first enter Columbia, everything will seem pretty peaceful. There will be kids playing, there will be a sky parade, and there will be a carnival. Suddenly Booker is told to participate in a raffle. Booker ends up winnning but the prize was to throw a ball at a couple. In this part you can either throw the ball at the couple or you can throw it at the announcer of the raffle. Either way a cop will notice that Booker has the hand of the False Shepard. The False Shepard is said by Comstock to bring Columbia's end. The cops then start attacking you and this is when you finally get to kill.

There are many weapons that you will get to use. The melee weapon of the game is the Sky-Hook. You can either use the Sky-Hook to kill your enemies or you can use it as a form of transportation. You can attach the Sky-Hook onto a Sky-Line which will be able to take you from building to building. The experience from going on the Sky-Line is pretty amazing and it feels like you are in a rollercoaster ride, the only difference is that you are hanging thousands of feet up in the air. Enemies can also ride the Sky-Line so a lot of epic gameplay can come out of the Sky-Lines. The guns in Bioshock Infinite are great and I really liked the old fashion look these guns had. There are machine guns, rocket launchers, shotguns, hand cannons, and many more. Vigors, which are plasmids from the previous Bioshock games, are also awesome. Vigors, if you didn't know, are pretty much magical powers. Vigors include Bucking Bronco, which causes the enemy to float making them easier to shoot; Devil's Kiss, which allows you to shoot fireballs out of your hands; Murder of Crows, which allows you to command crows to go attack your enemies; and many more. You can also wear equipment that can be of good use to you. Some equipment can make you go faster on the Sky-Line or it can make your enemies light on fire when you hit them once or it can increase the chances of getting a critical hit on an enemy.

After a lot of action, Booker finally rescues Elizabeth. This is obviously the first time you see Elizabeth. Elizabeth is a main protagonist and she is such a great character. She is smart, she is helpful, and she actually makes you kind of care for her. Caring for a character is such a strange thing to see in video games today. The last time I really cared for characters was in The Walking Dead Game and a little bit in Halo 4. Anyway, she also helps you when you are in a battle. For example, when you are in a firefight and you are suddenly running very low on ammo, Elizabeth will throw you more ammo for your gun or she might also throw you more health or more salts(salts replinish your Vigor use.) She can also open Tears, which are objects from different dimensions. For example,if you were to be in the open in a battle, you can ask Elizabeth to open a Tear which will spawn a wall for you to take cover. Opening Tears is a really great part of gameplay and Tears will also be an important aspect of the story, but I won't talk about that in this review. Also, when you save Elizabeth, you get to encounter The Songbird for the first time. The Songbird is an antagonist in Bioshock Infinite and The Songbird is a giant robotical bird that is supposed to be the guardian of Elizabeth. But since Booker let Elizabeth free, The Songbird is really angry and you will be encountering The Songbird a couple of times throughout the campaign.

After you save Elizabeth a lot of strange stuff will happen, but I will not spoil anymore of the story. But you can see what happens if you play the game. So in Bioshock Infinite the guns are great, the Vigors are great, the gameplay is great, the graphics are great (there are a couple of framerate issues though, but you can change the framerate in the options menu), the characters are stupendous, and the story is amazing. In the end I would give this game a solid 5/5 stars and I would recommend this game to any gamer around the world. Plus you don't need to have any background knowledge from the past games to understand the story! (This is also the first article that I have written on this site so please leave suggestions on what I can do to improve.)

Nice article! You should review the Halo games, and maybe Red Dead Redemption. Keep at it!
