The movie was released to mixed reviews a while ago, but apparently there is still enough interest to warrant a game version of the story.

Play as Kick-Ass in classic beat-em-up style, battling through swathes of street thugs, ne'er-do-wells and the occasional super-villain. Featuring "brutal finishing moves and animations straight from the movie and comic book."

From the footage it looks as though the gameplay will be similar to that of the Arkham series, which could work very well if done correctly. Whilst the blood and gore may be a given, the real draw for this game may be the humour that runs throughout both comics and films. But so long after the release of the movie (it came out in August of last year) can this game even hope to Kick-Ass be successful?

Dive into an exciting, action-packed adventure and relive the incredible scenes from the Hollywood blockbuster “Kick-Ass 2” on your Xbox360, PS3 or PC! Developed by Freedom Factory Studios and Published by UIG Entertainment, Kick-Ass 2: The Game is set for release in May.
