Milla Jovovich sent out a "Tweet" on Saturday with the following little tid bit of news:

"just heard that the teaser for RE4 will come out in front of nightmare on elm street!"



ecksmanfan: I didn't realize production was that far along on this film! I'm not a huge follower of these films, but they are relatively enjoyable to watch. I figured I'd toss this info out to those that are big fans.

i will end up watching it,but im really waiting for the remake like they plan to do after this one called resident evil begins more like the first game,and the best game i dont care what anyone says.

@JLanphear- Yeah, she'd totally and literally kick ass. Just do a voice over with a dudes voice when ever the "Avengers Assemble!" part comes in.

I like the the first and second movie ... Third was entertaining... Plus she is hot and she has no problem showing off what shes got... ;-)

the first resident evil was the best. for me it still stands in my top five zombie flix. nemesis was garbage while apocolypse was a passable sequel. alot of care went into the first resident evil location scouting, soundtrack, casting. i found it suspenseful and a bit scarier than i expected. anderson's best film by far.

The movies are meh to me since I have been a huge fan of RE since the very first release of the first game, which I still have btw.

the first movie was the only good one since it kinda was portrayed as a prequel to the games, but then RE0 canceled that out. RE 4 and 5 are good but to action based and not suspenseful as the first 4 games, 5 was way worse then 4 on the not being suspenseful part the co-op really helped make it amazing though, the lost in nightmares DLC really brought it back to it's roots to bad it was short lived.

I hope that this movie steers away from what the 3rd movie was and also has less Ali Larter who apparently has no idea who Clair Redfield is since her portrayal is as far away from Clair as you can get, Miller is a great choice for Chris just like Guillory was for Jill.

if the reboot goes off like the rumors say it will, I will be more excited for it then I was for the first RE movie... which I was disappointed in by the time I left the theater. (it's still the best of the 3 but none of them come close to the games)

On a side note... I personally liked Silent Hill and the way they ended it left it open for a second one... I wouldn't mind having a second one

I'm with Keven on this, RE is one of the baddest and yet most horrendous game-made movies to this date. I know having them start off in a mansion with Jill, Chris, and Barry would probably have some copy-write issues, but.. hell yeah, restart off with RE4 and just go from there.

@thegreek- they were getting ready to start a new script for Silent Hill 2, but the writer that had signed on was jailed for a fatal accident and drunk driving. I think he's in for a year. I haven't heard if they are going to find a new writer or not.

every time i tried to watch silent hill it put me to sleep. tried really hard to be atmospheric which i appretiated but it really fell short of being a movie that looked as promising as resident evil 1. i like to think of resident evil 1 as a capsule film which is what every movie really is if it changes directors for sequels. i have never seen a movie retain it's essence when directors are switched. resident evil 1 had one of the most kick ass endings that left me both wanting more and yet feeling fully satisfied.

If this one has no Leon Kennedy or Chris Redfield, I'm gonna be pissed. They put Redfield's partner (Valentine) in part 2, and his sister in part 3. Hell, they even put in the damn mercenaries from RE3 (game)!!!

And if you remember in the 3rd movie, Claire and the convoy were en route to Alaska. Which is where the 2nd half of Code Veronica took place, and if I'm not mistaken big brother Chris came to the rescue. So RE4 movie better have him in it... christ even Wesker was in the movies...

Ugh sorry I was wrong... the second half was in Antartica, not Alaska... but hey in Hollywood they can do anything to a movie's source material and get away with it, so why not substitute Alaska for Antartica...? :P

Update: (And sorry to triple post) but it looks like Chris Redfield is gonna be in the 4th RE movie! Confirmed as of Sept. 30th, 2009 :)
