Timur Bekmabetov Initiates Wanted 2 Sequel

Timur Bekmabetov has told RIA Novosti, a Russian newsite that he has started preparations on making the sequel to the hit movie WANTED! News also that they have found a way to bring Angelina Jolies character back to the land of the living!

Bekmambetov told them, "In July we will start preparation for the film. I think in the late autumn or winter shooting will be performed. The shooting will take place in America, India and Russia."

Besides Jolie's Fox, Bekmambetov hopes to bring back Kostya Khabenskiy, a character who also starred in Bekmambetov's movies Night Watch and Day Watch,(very good russian films) as well as introducing some new characters.



Wanted 2 has a $150 million budget reportedly! Bekmambetov will once again have Russian crew involved in all aspects of production.



$150 million budget will be the biggest Hollywood production made by a Russian filmmaker.

LEEE777- I liked the first movie but then again i never read that comic book, hopefully some more of the comic book will translate to the sequel! ; )

I thought the first movie was OK. I especially liked the booty shot of A. Jolie. Yummy.
but how are they going to bring her back.
She was shot in the head.
Is she going to come back as a mentally challenged assassin? "Curve bullet is pretty, duh."

I read the comic book and loved it. I knew that the movie was going to be a far departure from the original story so I went into it knowing it was a different movie altogether.

I liked it, it was enjoyable and I'm ok with the thought of a sequel. It does obliterate hope for a film like the book, which is unfortunate.

Um Leee, is that Jolie in the middle pic up there? It doesn't look like her.

Also, I haven't seen Daywatch. Is it as cool as Nightwatch?

Yes it is BETTY @ its even got her tat if you look, an yes DAYWATCH is just as cool, best you buy it, its worth every cent man!

Like i said, i never read WANTED but i loved the movie! Though i would've like the cool costumes, the back spandex leather outfit! Oh well lol, yeah i know whatyou mean by obliterate the sequel lol.

Nightwatch was a great movie. I tip my hat off the russians for making a great film. Daywatch is not as good as Nightwatch it has more dram but the ending is interesting. If you have nothing to do on a rainy day watch it.

i read the comic before seeing the movie and was okay with the changes they made. the comic was a little more "fantastic" and i don't think it would have translated well without being made into a comedy/action movie. Mark Millar was happy with it and thats what mattered to me.

Good movie. Don't know if a sequel makes sense. Definitely doesn't make sense to bring back a character that blew her own head off. There's plenty of other hot women out there that can play "hot-sexy-assassin".

idk if i want a Wanted sequel thats gonna be turned into Timur's movie, i at least want some characters from the comic, i mean maybe its cool for the people who liked the Watch movies but for people who liked the comic and first movie (like me) it may be weird
