Lynda Carter Shares Her Thoughts On Gal Gadot's WONDER WOMAN Costume
Lynda Carter played Wonder Woman during the 1970s and her name is still synonymous with the Amazonian Princess. Of course, Fast & Furious star Gal Gadot will star as the character in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Carter shares her thoughts here about the recent costume reveal...
Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder released a first look at Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman during this year's San Diego Comic-Con, and the costume for the fan favourite character was met with a mostly very positive response. Faithful to the comic books, but with a few key alterations which make it look like it would exist in our world, the suit should stand nicely alongside Ben Affleck's Batman and Henry Cavill's Superman come 2016. So, what does original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter think? "Well, I was missing the red, white and blue, I have to say," she told Access Hollywood in a recent interview. "Maybe there's a lot more color in it than what we saw in the picture. It's almost impossible to play a superhero anyway. You can't. You just have to play a character that happens to do these amazing things. That's the only way you can do it. And the costumes all take care of themselves, but it was a little more – I'll have to wait and see. I hate to comment on something that I haven't seen and I'm very supportive of Gal Gadot. I'm very supportive of them doing Wonder Woman, putting her in any capacity. I think she needs to be out there. ... It's high time somebody took a chance and did it and so I'm really happy about that." Would you agree that there needs to be more colour in the costume? It does appear like there could be, though it's hard to tell due to the filter the photo was taken with. We'll have to wait and see!
