DC's "Wonder Woman" has yet to get a proper live-action treatment, with tops dogs of Justice League Batman, Superman, and Green Lantern getting all the shine. And while many directors have expressed interest in bringing the Amazon Princess to the big screen, Warner Bros. has pointed out here & there that a film will eventually be made.

Well now according to The Playlist...
"We're hearing that at Comic-Con sometime in the next 48 hours or so WB/Legendary are going to announce David S. Goyer and a "Wonder Woman" film for 2013."

While Goyer has written many films for DC heroes, and few for Marvel too, this rumor comes as no surprise. His name has even been connected to the forthcoming 2012 Man Of Steel reboot, as either the writer or Directer.

On his involvement with Wonder Woman, The Playlist goes on the say...What's Goyer's role going to be. As a director? A writer? We're honestly not sure, the intel is fuzzy.

As Warner Bros. are set to bring the Green Lantern to this year's San Diego Comic-Con, during his panel could be when Goyer's involvement with the Amazon Princess will be announced. In just two days, things will be known for sure.

I was thinking today when I saw the headline for Superman maybe being directed by Jonah Nolan, Jonah and Goyer should do Superman and Wonder Woman to have all the TDK screenwriters do at least one movie. Jonah for Superman, Goyer for Wonder Woman.

I'm feeling psychic...

While I'm not the biggest Goyer fan, it is a good idea to have one writer for the majority of your films.

I'm not a fan of the James Bond movies (acting) but I believe Martin Campbell will do great with Green Lantern. Maybe it's time for Goyer to get a second..third chance? I really do think it's about the material at times, not the director and vice versa

Ehhhhhhhhh.... I do like Goyer's work though:

Flash Forward(though the actual dialog writing SUCKED), Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Blade, Blade 2

Unfortunately his credentials also include writing and directing Blade Trinity.

He better not f*cking direct it. He shouldn't direct any DC films.

I'm fine with him writting it, as long as it get's a polish from someone else.

I really don't want him to direct. He isn't a very good director and for a hero this big and a new property, they need a very experienced, critically acclaimed director. I also think they need a female director for this project because it needs a woman's point of view, this strongest and most influencial woman in comics does need a woman's perspective and a great director's eye. I would say Sofia Coppola (Lost in Translation, The Virgin Suicides) would be perfect because she is a really talented director and Lost in Translation shows how perfectly she can do isolation in anothe country, which is what Wonder Woman needs.

@commanderhulk I like your take on the director from a storytelling perspective. The sense of loneliness would be a nice touch to have in there.

Id be concerned about the action side of it though. For Wonder Woman to work you need smart, believable, but frickin amazing action sequences.

My vote is with Bigelow, hands down.

im absolutely pumped for this. a wonderwoman movie has been long over due. im just not that excited over the new costume that dc has come up with. they need to stay traditional. i also agree 100% that writers for these moies....batman, superman and ww should be the same people. this way there a litle better control over how they all tie in. marvel has done well but dc is going to surpass them. cant wait.
