After a one-month exclusive residence on HBO Max, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced today that Wonder Woman 1984 will be available for 48-hour rental on all PVOD platforms this coming Friday.

Additionally, they've confirmed that the Patty Jenkins-directed superhero sequel will arrive on Digital HD on March 16, and then on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 30.

The combo pack will contain a number of very cool special features for fans of all ages, including "The Making of Wonder Woman 1984," seven additional featurettes spotlighting Gal Gadot and her castmates, and a sure-to-be hysterical gag reel.

Primetime Emmy Award-nominee Patty Jenkins was in the director's chair with a screenplay she co-wrote with Geoff Johns and Dave Callaham. Gal Gadot headlined the sequel with a supporting cast that will feature Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, and Gabriella Wilde.

It’s time for a hero when “Wonder Woman 1984” arrives on Premium Video on Demand (PVOD), 4K, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins and stars Gal Gadot (“Wonder Woman”) in the title role.

“Wonder Woman 1984” also stars Chris Pine (“Wonder Woman,” the “Star Trek” films) as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig (“Bridesmaids,” “The Martian”) as Barbara Minerva, Pedro Pascal (TV’s “Game of Thrones,” “The Mandalorian”) as Maxwell Lord, Robin Wright (TV’s “House of Cards,” “Blade Runner 2049”) as Antiope and Connie Nielsen (“Wonder Woman,” TV’s “I Am the Night”) as Hippolyta.

“Wonder Woman 1984” will be available for 48-hour rental via PVOD for $19.99 SRP beginning on Friday, February 12. The title will be available on participating digital platforms where you rent movies.

On March 16, “Wonder Woman 1984” will be available to own in high definition and standard definition from select digital retailers including Amazon, FandangoNOW, iTunes, PlayStation, Vudu, Xbox and others.

On March 30, “Wonder Woman 1984” will be available on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD.

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc of “Wonder Woman 1984” will feature DolbyVision HDR, which dramatically expands the color palette and contrast range, and uses dynamic metadata to automatically optimize the picture for every screen, frame by frame. It will also feature HDR10+,a new HDR technology that optimizes brightness levels and contrast for each scene, making bright areas brighter and dark areas darker to deliver a lifelike viewing experience.

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc of “Wonder Woman 1984” will also feature a Dolby Atmos® soundtrack remixed specifically for the home theater environment to place and move audio anywhere in the room, including overhead. To experience Dolby Atmos at home, a Dolby Atmos enabled AV receiver and additional speakers are required, or a Dolby Atmos enabled sound bar; however, Dolby Atmos soundtracks are also fully backward compatible with traditional audio configurations and legacy home entertainment equipment.

“Wonder Woman 1984” will also be available on Movies Anywhere. Using the free Movies Anywhere app and website, consumers can access all their eligible movies by connecting their Movies Anywhere account with their participating digital retailer accounts.

The fate of the world is once more on the line, and only Wonder Woman can save it. This new chapter in the Wonder Woman story finds Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) living quietly among mortals in the vibrant, sleek 1980s—an era of excess driven by the pursuit of having it all. Though she’s come into her full powers, she maintains a low profile, curating ancient artifacts and only performing her superheroic acts incognito. But now, Diana will have to step directly into the spotlight and muster all her wisdom, strength and courage in order to save mankind from a world of its own making.

“Wonder Woman 1984” 4K UHD Combo Pack and Blu-ray contain the following special features:

  • The Making of Wonder Woman 1984: Expanding the Wonder
  • Gal & Kristen: Friends Forever
  • Small But Mighty
  • Scene Study: The Open Road
  • Scene Study: The Mall
  • Gal & Krissy Having Fun
  • Meet the Amazons
  • Black Gold Infomercial
  • Gag Reel
  • Wonder Woman 1984 Retro Remix

Seriously stop your damn crying about it. This movie wasn't that bad. There's worse movies out there and we all know it. People just love to have something to bitch about. Superman 3 ,Superman 4, Supergirl, Batman & Robin, Electra, Catwoman, Steel, Spider Man 3, and that's not counting them all. Day one for me. Yes the story could have been better but it's still a fairly decent movie.

@n1ghtw1ng2832 - People don't really talk about it that much. When they do, the usual opinion is that it wasnt bad just forgettable
dracula - 2/10/2021, 2:15 PM
Really don't know if I will watch it again, let alone buy it.

Snyder's stupid savage isn't Wonder Woman, but for 1984, Jenkins went too fat in the other direction.

The first Wonder Woman was the perfect middle ground.

I like the scene where WW learns how to fly. That was a beautiful moment.

The rest? Teetered from really mind-numbingly bad, to unintentionally funny, and back again.
Moriakum - 2/10/2021, 2:34 PM
@GothamSon - I found that scene distracting because of the music choice. Couldn't they have created an original theme specifically for that scene?
GothamSon - 2/10/2021, 2:39 PM
@Moriakum - Yeah that's valid about the score, but I've been waiting since the Justice League premiere on Cartoon Network to see a live action Diana fly.
ChimiFnChangas - 2/10/2021, 7:50 PM
@Moriakum - Same here. So much so, that I immediately switched off WW84, and watched Kick-Ass instead.

I'd like to give it a second watch.

The physics of this scene still haunts me

I was 11 elen years old when Batman Forever came out and
(back then) i loved this movie.
I think i would also liked WW84 if it was released back in 1995,
when i was still a child.

As adult viewer ... well, the movie is mixed bag.
bkmeijer2 - 2/10/2021, 3:35 PM
I had a fun watch with it, but I'm not going out of my way to pay for a second viewing

Look I hate this movie... BUT I might still get that steelbook to complete my DC collection. I know I know, why buy it when you dont like it, but I didnt buy Iron Man 3 back in the day initially and by the time I realized I wanted to have the whole MCU a decent slipcover edition was hard to find and I dont want that to happen again. Plus... thats a cool steelbook no matter how shitty the movie is lol
LoganvsBanner - 2/10/2021, 3:48 PM
I haven't seen this film is it really that bad?.. change of subject but I really hyped for loki, falcon & winter soldier and black widow I wonder what's going to happen with that as I believe it was set for a april release in theater's but were still in lockdown in the UK so I hope it doesn't get pushed back again.. there's hope it might go to Disney + lol plz

marvel72 - 2/10/2021, 5:46 PM
I want a full MCU and DCEU Blu-Ray collection but I don't think I can bring myself to tarnish my collection with Wonder Woman 1984 and Birds Of Prey.
MaxPaint - 2/10/2021, 6:25 PM
Who's gonna rent this trash.
valmic - 2/10/2021, 6:28 PM
I watched it 5 times on hbo. Lol just to support DC but never have to see it ever again.
MrDandy - 2/10/2021, 6:45 PM
Disappointed that I won’t add this to my superhero shelf up with Wonder Woman. I have no desire to ever watch this again. Hot trash.
KingMob20 - 2/10/2021, 10:02 PM
I've seen it 3 times already and I'm definitely buying this Day 1! Just don't understand the hate for this movie.
