Though Warner Bros. announced at SDCC last month that a sequel to their smash-hit Wonder Woman movie was in the works with Gal Gadot back on board as Diana, we didn't get any kind of confirmation that Patty Jenkins would also return to direct.

Well, it looks like we have it now.

Deadline reports that Jenkins is in final negotiations with the studio to helm the planned sequel, and was able to leverage an historic deal that will see her earn "the same as a male director would receive after such a box office coup."

Apparently, this is what Jenkins was holding out for, which is why we didn't get an announcement at Comic-Con.

Maybe not a huge surprise, but it's still nice to finally be able to say it's official.
