With the news that Patty Jenkins' follow-up to 2017's smash-hit Wonder Woman will be in front of the cameras "shockingly soon," we're starting to get some more information in regards to the creative team behind the highly anticipated sequel. Omega Underground is reporting that Aline Bonetto, who served as the first films production designer, is again on board for Wonder Woman 2.
Bonetto, who has received two Oscar nominations for production design for Amélie and A Very Long Engagement, was one of the people responsible for transporting audiences from the ancient island of Themyscira to the industrial lung of London and all the war-torn places in-between.
With Bonetto returning for the sequel, one can only hope that the film matches the noted art direction and design of the first - though with Patty Jenkins confirming that Wonder Woman 2 will indeed be set in the 1980's we can probably expect a very different aesthetic and milieu when the film hits theatres on 1st November 2019.
What do you think? Are you happy to see Aline Bonetto return? Where would you like to see Gal Gadot's Diana travel to in the sequel? Leave your thoughts below.
