The Princess Of Themyscira Builds Her Own Squad In New WONDER WOMAN Stills

If Diana, Princess of the Amazons, is going to go to war then she's going to need to recruit some soldiers, and that's exactly what she's doing in these new stills from Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman.

When Diana (Gal Gadot) follows Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) back to the world of man to stop the war to end all wars, she finds herself in need of a few soldiers willing to follow her into battle, and that's precisely what she's hoping to get in these new stills from Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman.

Not much is known about Diana's personal squadron, but from the looks of it, she's going to have a tough time convincing some of them to join her cause. One of the images features a look at Diana and Steve Trevor recruiting Sameer (Saïd Taghmaoui), a master of disguise, and Charlie (Ewen Bremner), a sharpshooter, but it appears Sameer isn't all that eager to join them.

Wonder Woman hits theaters June 2, 2017.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Lucy Davis as Etta Candy, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins and written by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, story by Zack Snyder & Allan Heinberg.

@BlackBeltJones - I wonder how strong the feminism in this movie is gonna be. Every woman who walks out might drop a pair. Haha.

@BlackBeltJones - Well it would make sense considering the attitudes of that time toward women.

@Kyos - well, just cause marvel did the movies first doesnt mean that dc cant do it better

@ConnorHawkeye - I actually genuinely didn't mean that in a "ha, MCU did it first!" way. I really think that if you're a superhero in a big war setting it's cool to have a diverse squad of normal soldiers as support. Just seems like a dope concept, so I'm glad they did this here as well. Maybe Diana's guys will even get more opportunity to shine.
