WONDER WOMAN: Resurfaced Footage From NBC Pilot Reveals Pedro Pascal's First Role In The DC Universe

Wonder Woman 1984 sees Pedro Pascal take on a leading role as the villainous Maxwell Lord, but resurfaced footage from the 2011 NBC pilot reveals the original role he played in Diana Prince's world!

As Wonder Woman 1984's villainous Maxwell Lord, Pedro Pascal often steals the show from co-stars Gal Gadot and Kristen Wiig. Of course, the film isn't the actor's first brush with Diana Prince, as he was once among those who signed up for NBC's Wonder Woman pilot.

The network decided against moving ahead with the costly DC series, but the pilot can be found in the right corners of the internet, and if you can track it down, it makes for interesting viewing!

A scene has been uploaded to Reddit showing Pascal's Detective Ed Indelicato meeting with Wonder Woman (Adrianne Palicki). In it, he explains that the Justice Department wants to know what her relationship with the Los Angeles Police Department is, and Indelicato hopes to act as her liaison.

There's a fair bit of cheese here, though most of you will no doubt be distracted by Palicki's Amazon!

Pascal may have missed out on starring in Wonder Woman, but later found himself cast in acclaimed series like Narcos, Game of Thrones, and most recently, Disney+'s The Mandalorian.

Good thing this version didn't happen. So much about it, right down to the costume looked so bad.

Too bad the Arrowverse Wonder Woman show didn't happen, that could have been cool. (not related to the new Wonder Girl project)

Happy New Year! I can see why they never aired this. Anyone every seen the live action Spider-Man show from the 70s? It’s so comically terrible.

@Santanaonfire - I think it has it's charm. Especially with all they had to adjust for considering the budget/technology of the time.

@Santanaonfire - I watched it in its original run. Back in the day, we were desperate for anything superhero in live action on TV. Yes, it was bad but it was almost all we had. LOL

Wonder Woman 1984 wasn't as bad as how people are making it out to be. But I will say the villains were extremely underwhelming. I don't understand when people say "Marvel does better movies but DC does better villains". I cannot remember any villain within any of DC films after The Dark Knight who were iconic and memorable. All of the villains have been terrible.

@SonOfAGif - IDK. Probably because most aren't immediately killed like a lot of the MCU villains. It at least leaves the door open for their return, if you actually care to see that kind of thing again.

@SonOfAGif -
I actually thought Max and Barbara were compelling antagonists. I'm just happy Diana didn't kill them, and Jenkins noted the door is open for Barbara's return.

@SonOfAGif - dude .. Zod and orm .. i think if barbara come back with a proper cheetah story she will kick a$$

@Krav - True be told I didn't find Orm compelling at all. That whole jealous brother aspect has been so overdone in movies. Zod was decent. That I won't deny. Michael Shannon really sold the role for me especially his frustration with Kal for not understanding that Krypton will cease to be reborn if Kal doesn't allow Zod to rebuild. I did like that angle. But Barbara just didn't do it for me. While I get that she finally felt alive and felt fierce it was a let down for her to side with the very thing she despised. A disrespectful man who wants to step on anyone for power. It cancelled out her struggle in a way.

@SnideCut - Personally I don't think any of the villains are worth a squirt of piss in the "DCEU" except Strong's Sivana and that's despite a pretty big departure from what he use to be (I admit I haven't read a Shazam story in quite a while, so it has probably changed). I'm just trying to get in the minds of the people who do.

@SonOfAGif - the cheese is off the charts... and frankly that took me out of this movie pretty bad.

@SonOfAGif - What's a matter with you? You don't live up to your name anymore? Well, we always have @SuperCat. LOL

PS-I agree with some below. I think Zod was memorable, part of it being Shannon's performance and part of it being his devotion to his role to Krypton.

@inkniron - It's not just the MCU. I have always been disappointed with how so many CBM's kill of their villains starting with Nicholson's Joker. I wasn't so disappointed seeing Tommy Lee Jones' Two Face die, though except he could have taken Carrey's Riddler with him.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - The more I think about the more I realise that Max Lorde was basically if "Never satisfied" was a person. The embodiment of a selfish human using corporate greed to mask their true agenda.
