Our friends over at DF are listing the weekend box office tally, and of course, X2 is at the top. "In the fourth largest grossing non-holiday, three-day weekend movie opening ever, X2 teleported in a Colossus-size $86 million over the weekend. Only Spider-Man and the two Harry Potter movies have done better in their premieres. That’s a 58% increase over the original’s 2000 debut. Worldwide, the film grossed $155 million.



Here’s the weekend’s top 10 grossing films:

  2. 2. The Lizzie McGuire Movie, $17 million

  3. 3. Identity, $9.5 million

  4. 4. Anger Management, $8.5 million

  5. 5. Holes, $6.5 million

  6. 6. Malibu’s Most Wanted, $4 million

  7. 7. Confidence, $2.5 million

  8. 8. It Runs in the Family, $1.6 million

  9. 9. Bend it Like Beckham, $1.5 million.

  10. 10. Bulletproof Monk, $1.4 million
