I need to begin by saying that I am in no way against the idea of OLD MAN LOGAN being made into a movie for Hugh Jackman's swan song with the character. I just think that with so many key elements of the story that aren't available for FOX to use (Hulks, Hawkeye, Spider-mobile, Venom dinosaurs) they could better utilize Jackman AND show us the Wolverine we've only seen glimpses of in the movie universe so far. You'll have to forgive my photoshop skills, I didn't want to sink too much time into this image:
This idea could bring together Jackman, Tatum's Gambit, Reynolds' Deadpool, and Nightcrawler and Psylocke from the Age of Apocalypse movie. I think Gambit would fill Phantomex's role fairly well, and we would actually see my favourite X-Force team brought to screen. Introducing Cable is optional, as is the inclusion of Archangel. I think Sinister is the appropriate villain for this style of movie, and I like the idea of his base of operations being the Savage Land. His genetic manipulations have led to the creation of Sauron, and we could have Sabertooth reintroduced as well.
