Podcasting is all the rage of late. You can listen to them while you're doing virtually anything, and you can practically find a topic to suit just about anyone. Recently, several entertainment companies decided to get into the game and release scripted episodes, including Marvel.

Shows like Serial and S-Town had proven that the formula could be fruitful, so Marvel took a chance with one of their most popular characters last year and released a ten episode scripted podcast revolving around the mutant berserker and long time X-Man, Wolverine. Wolverine: The Long Night starred Richard Armitage (The Hobbit) as the title character.

The second season, titled Wolverine: The Lost Trail, will find our hero traveling to New Orleans while discovering his ex, Maureen, is missing, and encountering thieves, biker gangs, and a mutant named Jason Wyngarde, otherwise known as Mastermind.

Check out the trailer below.

Wolverine: The Long Night introduces listeners to a pair of FBI agents as they travel to the remote town of Burns, Alaska, where several people have been killed. Once there, they find Logan / Wolverine, who’s trying to escape civilization as he recovers some of his lost memories, and they suspect he might be connected to the deaths. The series is widely available on all podcast platforms.

Wolverine: The Lost Trail will be released on March 25th for Stitcher Premium, and will be available on all other platforms later in the year.

The Long Night was pretty good. As a guy that listens to my fair share of podcasts, it was a nice change-of-pace from what I usually listen to.

Definitely looking forward to this next one!

@L0RDbuckethead - It was nice and different. The audio on it was very cool and actually warranted a half decent pair of stereo speakers.

We are never getting Wolverine's mask in a movie, same problem with Bane and Hawkeye's masks, you can make anything look bad ass in a drawing, but in live action they would just look goofy

as bad ass as it looks, once you put that helmet on Hugh Jackman it would just look funny with those things sticking out

@dracula - I think they can make it work if they take the design of Daken's earless mask and reverse the colors, then make the mask and the rest of his suit look like some kind of professional stealth suit or something replacing the stripes with straps for securing the suit or loops or something for use with ziplines and such.

Hope they can get Chris Evan to appear in flashbacks for an MCU Wolverine film. If Cap dies, then its the only way we can get that team up

@dracula - If Cap dies, then they should just hook his corpse up to a Wolvie-blood transfusion like that terrible Star Trek movie.

...Just don't let Cap die, Feige, dammit...

@Soos - ...It only works because of supersoldier serum...

@Spock0Clock - there is so much feige can do if evans is ready to move on. Staying in that shape every year and undergoing rigorous filming and press tour for a man with severe anxiety issues like evans must be hell.

I know we all want him to stay but its not possible.

@dracula - A lot would have to happen to make this work seeing as mutants don't exist yet. I'm wondering if in End Game, or the next Avengers: Kang The Conqueror, there will be some event in the past that redoes the timeline to where mutants exist.
