Hugh Jackman Describes His Wolverine 2 Training Regime!

The actor has revealed that he's now begun an intense training and diet programme in order to prepare for Wolverine 2...

The actor told Access Hollywood that he has had to entirely change the way he eats and exercises in order to bulk up for the role of Wolverine in the sequel which will apparently be set in Japan and directed by Darren Aronofsky.

"I've just started training," he told them in a recent interview at the 9th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation's 'An Enduring Vision' event in New York City this week. "I'll be the one with four chicken breasts on my plate."

"It's hard training and a lot of eating. It sounds gluttonous, but it's really not. It's just kind of hard. Four chicken breasts at 10.30 in the morning with brown rice and steamed broccoli is not a lot of fun, let me tell you."

When asked about how this compares to his diet on the first movie, he joked: "I ate so many chickens to make this body. If there is a place in hell for people who eat chickens, I have booked a suite bigger than anybody."

what wolverine 2 needs to have to be decent is,but i wouldn't hold your breath you can't trust fox to deliver.

1.a shit hot director,it looks like that bits spot on.

2.keep faithful to the source material.

3.do not put to many mutants in it,silver samurai vs wolverine is enough.

4.up the level of violence i.e kick ass level.

5.a ton of bad ass ninja.

6.don't let fox have to much input at all,they'll only f*ck it up.

@deadpool, you forgot #7. costume.
I'd let Origins slide by with not having one, but he'd better hav a costume in this sequel. This is a CBM after all

its about time we get a true wolverine costume, they better do it in this one. im sure they will with how Japanese samurai armor looks very comicbook like.

I met Hugh Jackman this passed summer while he was in Ann Arbor, Michigan (at a Comicbook shop no less! no jokes, I have a picture to prove it), and let me tell you; he is no joke. Even when he wasn't in "Wolverine" shape, he looked like a pro football player. Nice guy and I hope Wolverine 2 turns out better than the first

Hugh Jackman is just awesome. XMOW wasn't a great film, barely a good film. But I actually have high hopes for this one.

I'll hate to see this be the last one he does, but if it is, he better make it memorable!

I hope they salvage this franchise. The first one was every bit as awful and lacking in comic logic as the third X-Men. It made me want to watch "Spider-Man 3." What does that tell you?

@ForceOfLegend---
Not necessarily his "Yellow Spandex" costume. But Wolvie's had so many different costumes. A version of the pic posted by Gauson is perfect. The colors could be a bit dark for a more realistic effect & avoid a campy look.

HE WAS IN BETTER SHAPE IN ORIGINS THAN ALL THE OTHER XMEN MOVIES...

The one comicbook movie where I don't think anyone wants to see the hero wearing his costume. Blue and yellow spandex???? Forget it!!!

megabatfan - 10/21/2010, 3:22 PM
Here here @ Guason...costume is a must. It could be a ninja/samurai-ish version of his costume.
megabatfan
megabatfan - 10/22/2010, 11:08 AM
@jim
Why hate on Guason (and probably others, myself including)for wanting a costume. You know in all X-movies he wore a costume. Or did you miss that? It wasn't a comic book costume but a costume nontheless.
All we're asking for is a costume in the sequel that would be a little closer to the comic look.
FOR GOD SAKES NOT THE YELLOW & BLUE SPANDEX!!!
Howz bout replacing the brown & gold for brown & black?
