Based on a screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects, Valkyrie) and Mark Bomback (Live Free or Die Hard, Total Recall )and the comic book by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont.

The Wolverine is directed by James Mangold and also stars Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, Will Yun Lee, Hal Yamanouchi, Brian Tee, and Svetlana Khodchenkova. The movie will be released in 3D in the UK on 25th July, and in the US a day later on 26th July.

Jackman stated that he ate six meals a day in preparation for the role. Jackman contacted Dwayne Johnson for some tips on bulking up for the movie. Johnson suggested that for six months, gain a pound a week, by eating 6,000 calories a day which consisted of "an awful lot of chicken, steak and brown rice".

Theres that other still of Jackman ripped.

the claws are clearly photoshooped. The light is wrong, too intense and too much contrast

Those Claws are photoshopped mirror images of each other. Reminds me of that horrible scene from the first Wolverine movie when he was in the bathroom on the farm. The worst fx of the claws I'd ever seen. I was in shock it was so bad. How that made it to the final film is beyond me and it looks like it's happening again. Piss poor.

No CG claws in this one? Well, they forgot to tell the guys who doctored this picture. I agree with Cash, Gambgel, Giznad, etc.

Yeah, I remember that bathroom scene and those ultra-cartoony claws. I'm thinking --- jeesh, they've got millions of dollars' worth of a budget? And they honestly think these cartoon claws look real?

Hate to burst bubbles, but I'm a Graphic Designer. This photo may have started out with 'real' claws, but they were definitely 'enhanced' with graphic work.
Not a single shadow is cast on any knuckle, there should be a pinpoint of reflected light uniformly distributed/reflected on each claw, the chairoscuro seems oddly blurred..... yeah. He probably did wear props for the shoot, but they gummed it up in post.

I'm wondering what kind of scene he appears like this in. Must be an interesting one...I mean, what does the suit do there? He looks good in it, though.
