The official video game site has released a new screenshot for the upcoming Wolverine video game... It's actually more like an "enhanced" screenshot! It's a 3D capture of an in-game scene that you can rotate horizontally to see various things. We added it to our main video game site earlier, and thought everyone here at CBM would enjoy it as well!

BTW, I think my money is on Wolverine... The chopper doesn't stand a chance!

Head over to our X-Men Origins: Wolverine gallery area to check out several captures of the 3D scene, as well as to see the first picture released for the game. Yes, we're at a whopping 2 "official" images for the game released... Hopefully they get on the ball and release some wallpaper and screenshots soon.

For those that don't feel like clicking over to the official site, we've got the embedded 3D screenshot for you to play with over on our main site, with the original article!

Game looks great, movie so far looks butchered... I hope it won't be another X-3 and this dildo director will prove me wrong... Ha who are we kidding

Has anybody on here even seen Totsi, director Gavin Hood's Award Winning film? I have. And I have to say, this movie will be better than expected. This guy isn't Brett Ratner. No music videos on his resume.

wtf I didn't know anything about bone clows! I agree with grif, I never knew the origin of Wolverine, just that "Wolverine" was created by the Weapon X program
WeaponX
WeaponX - 1/14/2009, 1:14 PM
The deal is that Wolverine long thought his claws were implanted in his forearms by the Weapon X Program, until he was on a mission with the X-Men on Avalon (newer version of Asteroid M at the time) and he lashed out at Magneto nearly dealing a killing strike to him. Magneto in turn forced the adamantium from his body through the pours of his skin (and burning out his healing factor in the process). Then a few days pass and Wolverine decided to try a danger room exercise to see if he can still hold his own. The robots were getting the upper hand so Wolverine pops his claws. It's then everyone sees that they are bone.

Because the Weapon X Program screwed so much with the subjects memories, Wolverine never knew that the claws were actually part of his mutation and not implanted during the bonding process. Also, the bone that make up his claws are of a far stronger grade then that of normal human bone thus he is able to do things like cut some metals, stone and woods. They are also still razor sharp too, just like when they are laced with adamantium.

I may be jumping to conclusions too quick, I hope it is going to be a great movie for the sake of all the great characters in it, but I have been let down so many times by these Fox butchered comic movies you tell me one reason why I shouldn't expect to be let down again?????

Tsotsi's directing style isn’t going to be anything like the one needed for Wolverine. The directing style is like night and day (drama, comic action)... That is what I'm nervous about. A director thinking he is a visionary and not paying any attention to where the movie originated from (the comic!!)

I have to agree that most movie-inspired games are pretty poor, but I think things are looking up in this department as well. Look at how well the Lord of the Rings console games were done (Two Towers and Return of the King).
