Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel creator Joss Whedon says he'd take the job of directing the third X-Men movie if it were offered to him. Whedon is currently writing Astonishing X-Men for Marvel.

Fans recently voted Whedon their top choice to take the post vacated by Bryan Singer, who directed the first two X-films, but then moved on to direct the upcoming Superman movie.
