People credit Sam Rami's Spider-man as the first film that kicked off the superhero craze that we take for granted today. However, they tend to forget that it was Bryan Singer's X-men that really kick started the whole genre. After Batman & Robin, Steel and Spawn nearly killed off Comicbook movies, X-men rolled around in 2000 and if it weren't for that movie, we wouldn't have the Superhero films we have today.
