James McTeigue in talks to direct X-Men Origins: Magneto

"V For Vendetta Director" is in talks to direct "X-Men Origins: Magneto."

I was snooping around over at IMDB.com and came across James McTeigue's page. It lists him as "In talks" to direct the much anticipated "X-Men Origins: Magneto."

At one time, he was in talks to direct the next Superman movie, but that franchise seems to be up in the air.

I think I like this idea. I like the way "V for Vendetta" was filmed. He used some unique camera shots as well as effects. I am not too familiar with the "V for Vendetta" graphic novel, so I don't know how it differed from the movie.

However, it still lists David Goyer as a director as well.

i'll reserve judgement on mcteigue until after i see ninja assassin.
i admit he has an eye for cinematography and story. but i have only seen his one and only production.
he would be a good candidate though.
i hope if mcteigue directs, goyer stays on to write.

He shouldn't waste his time on such a bad franchise.
